Vor einigen Tagen hat der Portugiese mit einem kryptischen Instagram-Post seinen Abschied von Saudi-Klub Al-Nassr angedeutet. Seitdem wird wild spekuliert, wo CR7 seine Karriere fortsetzen wird.
Doch: Al-Nassr hat sich noch nicht aus dem Rennen verabschiedet und hofft immer noch auf einen Verbleib.
[–>Al-Nassr-Direktor Fernando Hierro sagte zuversichtlich: „Wir befinden uns immer noch in Verhandlungen mit Cristiano über einen neuen Vertrag.“ Und: „Wir hoffen, dass wir eine Lösung für eine Verlängerung hinbekommen.“
Ronaldo war 2023 nach Saudi-Arabien gewechselt, sein Vertrag läuft am 30. Juni aus. Eine Verlängerung scheiterte bislang.
In Saudi-Arabien setzt man offenbar alles daran, das Aushängeschild der heimischen Liga nicht zu verlieren. Die Verantwortlichen wollen Ronaldo unbedingt halten. Ein Abgang käme einem echten Verlust für das nationale Fußball-Image gleich.

Ein namentlich nicht genannter Informant wird so von der Nachrichtenagentur AFP zitiert: „Es laufen schwierige Verhandlungen, um Cristiano Ronaldo davon zu überzeugen, zu bleiben und nächste Saison in der Saudi Pro League zu spielen.“
Die Quelle soll dem mächtigen Public Investment Fund (PIF) nahestehen. Einem saudischen Staatsfonds, der nicht nur massiv in den heimischen Fußball investiert, sondern auch Anteile an internationalen Sportprojekten hält. Besonders die Rolle von Ronaldo wird dabei hervorgehoben. Seine Präsenz sei ein „Schlüsselfaktor für die Entwicklung der Liga. Er habe die Tür geöffnet – für echte Weltstars, aber auch für junge Talente, die sich inzwischen verstärkt nach Saudi-Arabien orientieren.“
[–>Angeblich steht auch ein Wechsel zu Liga-Konkurrent Al-Hilal im Raum. Somit würde Ronaldo bei der neuen XXL-Klub-WM dabei sein. Die Fifa wird dafür vom 1. bis 10. Juni ein spezielles Transferfenster öffnen. Berichten zufolge sind die brasilianischen Teilnehmer Palmeiras Sao Paulo, Flamengo Rio de Janeiro und Botafogo Rio de Janeiro nicht an einer Verpflichtung interessiert.

Tiger Woods has suffered a further injury setback after confirming that he has undergone "successful" surgery on his back to try and limit "pain and a lack of mobility".The 15-time major winner had lumbar disk replacement surgery after he experienced pain in his lower back, the second time he has undergone back surgery in just over a year and at least the seventh he has had during his career.
