No mês de julho, após a pausa para o Mundial de Clubes, teremos a disputa dos playoffs da Copa Sul-Americana, com quatro equipes do Brasil buscando uma vaga nas oitavas de final do torneio.
Atlético-MG, Grêmio e Vasco, que terminaram a fase de grupos na segunda colocação, irão enfrentar Atlético Bucaramanga, Alianza Lima e Independiente del Valle, respectivamente, enquanto o Bahia, único time do país eliminado da Copa Libertadores da América, irá encarar o América de Cali.

Os jogos de ida serão entre os dias 14, 15 e 16 de julho enquanto os confrontos decisivos acontecerão entre os dias 21, 22 e 23.
Importante citar que na próxima segunda-feira (2), a Conmebol já irá realizar o sorteio dos duelos das oitavas de final do torneio. Dessa forma, os clubes brasileiros já terão seus possíveis adversários definidos na próxima fase da competição, caso consigam classificação nos playoffs.
Os possíveis adversários são Cienciano, Fluminense, Godoy Cruz, Huracán, Independiente, Lanús, Mushuc Runa e Universidad Católica. Ou seja, é possível termos um duelo brasileiro já na próxima etapa do torneio, inclusive com um clássico carioca.
Inclusive, o sorteio irá definir o chaveamento completo da Copa Sul-Americana, contemplando não só a fase de oitavas como o caminho até a decisão do título desta edição.
