Riebau-Schmithals, der während des ganzen Tages Spitzenreiter war, ging mit mehr als doppelt so vielen Chips in das Heads-up. Er sah bereits, wie der sichere Gewinner aus. Doch eine Hand veränderte alles…
Der Deutsche verliert mit ein paar Assen gegen einen Zweier-Drilling. Er versuchte seinen Gegner bei dieser Hand in eine Falle zu locken, fiel aber gnadenlos auf die Nase. Ami-Zocker Furth war nun klar vorne und brachte den Sieg locker nach Hause. Bitter für Riebau-Schmithals.
Poker-Bad-Boy Martin Kabrhel war auch lange im Titel-Rennen mit dabei, musste sich aber auf Platz 3 verabschieden. Der Deutsche Jeremy Trojand, der auch zu den Top-Stacks zu Beginn des Finals gehörte, wurde von seinem Landsmann auf Platz 7 vom Tisch genommen. Dennoch können beide stolz auf ihre Ergebnisse sein.
[–>Weitere Entscheidungen standen ebenfalls an: Der Spanier Antonio Galiana gewann sein 2. Bracelet beim 5.000 Dollar 8-Handed-Event. Poker-Oldie Dan Heimiller (USA) schnappte sich sein Drittes in der Variante Seven Card Stud. Beim 10.000 Omaha Hi-Low 8 or Better Championship ist mit Lukas Zwingmann-Gocht ein Deutscher an Tag 2 dabei. Zudem geht es Montag beim 1.000 Mytery Millions Turnier in die nächste Runde. Dort mischt Konstantin Held ganz vorne mit. Für ihn ist es aber noch ein langer Weg.
Zur Erinnerung: Auf der Poker-Plattform GGPoker (Anzeige) kann jeder Spieler aus Deutschland an der Freeroll-Liga teilnehmen. Jeden Dienstag und Samstag wird dort ab 20 Uhr gezockt. Es gibt Gewinne im Wert von 20.000 Dollar. Des Weiteren läuft gerade das „GG World Festival“ mit einem garantierten Preispool von 250. Mio. Dollar.
