One of the most important anime in history is One Piece, a work that has been around the world and has gained followers all over the planet. But in addition, some time ago, specifically in 2023, this universe came to Netflix in the form of live action. This, as we might expect from the importance of One Piece, quickly achieved resounding success, as the biggest anime fans recognized the good adaptation and those who were new to the story saw a spectacular and different series
In that first season released two years ago, we saw how Luffy’s adventure began to achieve his ultimate goal, of which he is still far away, to become the king of the pirates and get his long-awaited treasure, the One Piece. But one of the key elements of this first installment was the formation, little by little of his crew and the Great Straw Hat Fleet. Thus, characters such as Nami or Roronoa Zoro arrived in the live action. But we can’t wait any longer to see the second season and meet new members of this famous group.

Well, we already had news about this, as Netflix published a kind of trailer or preview of the second season in which we are introduced to one of the key pieces of the second season and the story of One Piece, a character that all fans were waiting for and that generated some doubt about its possible adaptation to live action

We are of course talking about Tony Tony Chopper, who is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as one of the senior officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. This character ate the Hito Hito fruit from Drum Island and is the sixth member to join the crew, but most importantly, he was a challenge for Netflix, as his appearance raised some doubts for a possible adaptation. But the reality is that thanks to CGI, One Piece fans have been happy with how this character looks in the live action.
When is One Piece season 2 coming out?
But in addition to the introduction of Tony Tony Chopper in this short preview, Netflix has confirmed when the second season of this series will be released. And the truth is that this news has disappointed us a little, as we will have to wait until 2026 to see the second season of the ‘One Piece’ live-action. On the other hand, the longer it takes, it should guarantee higher quality.
