Nach 10 Jahren Premier League steht Kevin De Bruyne kurz vor einem Wechsel nach Italien. Mit Meister Neapel gibt es bereits eine mündliche Einigung, Boss Aurelio de Laurentiis (76) posaunte auch schon heraus, dass der Belgier sich „ein schönes Häuschen“ in Neapel gekauft habe.
Dabei zählten lange Zeit auch mehrere MLS- und Saudi-Klubs zum Interessentenkreis. In der Wüste hätte der 33-Jährige sicher wesentlich mehr verdienen können. Was gab also den Ausschlag für die Napoli-Zusage?

Capaldi bestätigte im „Transfers“-Podcast, dass Lukakus gute Beziehung zu De Bruyne eine Schlüsselrolle in den Verhandlungen gespielt hat. „Trainer Antonio Conte vertraut Lukaku sehr und dessen Beziehung zu De Bruyne“, so Capaldi. Er fügte hinzu, dass Lukaku und De Bruyne miteinander gesprochen haben.
Der Journalist betonte, dass der Ex-City-Spieler zwar nicht mehr in der Form von vor sieben, acht Jahren sei, er aber immer noch Gefahr ausstrahle. „Diese letzten Jahre seiner Karriere kann er bei Napoli den Unterschied ausmachen“, sagte Capaldi.

V soutěži družstev skončili Korčák s Tomečkem a Milošem Slavíčkem smolně pátí se stejným počtem zásahů, jako měli bronzoví Řekové a čtvrtí Francouzi. Titul obhájili Američané před Italy.Pátý skončil i ženský tým v sestavě Anna Šindelářová, Barbora Šumová a Hana Adámková, jež byla na 18. místě v kvalifikaci nejvýše postavenou reprezentantkou. Češky ale dělily od bronzu čtyři zásahy. Zvítězily Američanky vedené novou individuální šampionkou Samanthou Simontonovou.Korčák postoupil do finále ze třetího místa v kvalifikaci, v níž mu ze 125 terčů ulétly jen dva.
