A Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa está cada vez mais próxima de começar e os times brasileiros na disputa, Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense e Botafogo, já estão prontos para o torneio que será disputado nos Estados Unidos entre 14 de junho e 13 de julho. Para o ex-jogador Denílson, o time paulista é o mais preparado entre os brasileiros e o que deve ir mais longe na competição.
“Para mim, o Palmeiras é o que vai mais longe. Por causa da mentalidade do seu treinador. Quem vê o programa vai falar: ‘Mas você viu o que ele fez hoje? Nervoso na beira do campo. O Palmeiras não jogou nada’… Uma coisa é uma coisa, outra coisa é outra coisa. Dentro do Mundial de Clubes eu acho que o Palmeiras, pela mentalidade que construiu junto com o Abel, é o que vai mais longe”, avaliou o comentarista.
A estreia do time de Abel Ferreira na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa está marcada para o dia 15 de junho (domingo), contra o Porto, de Portugal, às 19h (de Brasília), no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey (EUA). A partida é válida pela primeira rodada do Grupo A da competição internacional. Inter Miami e Al Ahly, do Egito, completam a chave e se enfrentam no dia 14, em Miami.
Denílson descarta jogo bonito e aponta diferencial do Palmeiras
Segundo Denílson, o diferencial do Verdão para os demais concorrentes brasileiros na competição não é a forma atraente de jogar, mas sim sua objetividade. “Para mim, o Palmeiras não joga bonito. Bonito joga o Flamengo, o Bahia, o Cruzeiro está jogando bonito também… O Palmeiras é um time que sempre jogou feio, mas é muito objetivo. Termina as jogadas. Então no Mundial de Clubes, entre os brasileiros é o que vai mais longe”, concluiu o comentarista.
Além do Porto, na estreia da competição, o time alviverde ainda terá amis duas partidas na fase de grupos. Na segunda rodada o adversário será o Al Ahly, do Egito, no dia dia 19, às 13h, novamente no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey, e fecha a participação em confronto com o Inter Miami, de Messi e Luís Suárez, no Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, no dia 23, às 22h (horários de Brasília).
Ex-jogador diz que escolheria Palmeiras para jogar
Denílson parou de jogar futebol há mais de 15 anos e as passagens mais marcantes no Brasil foram jogando pelo São Paulo, clube que o revelou, e pelo Palmeiras, time que o recebeu quando voltou do exterior, em 2008. Questionado qual das duas equipes escolheria se estivesse jogando bola atualmente, o comentarista não pipocou.
“Hoje? Se tivesse uma oportunidade de voltar a jogar futebol, hoje o Palmeiras, que está certinho. Vou correr errado? Não, o treinador quase caindo (no São Paulo), a batata assando. Eu vou para onde está estável. O Abel pegando no meu pé para caramba, mas estou jogando, lutando lá em cima, título. Hoje, com discernimento, botaria na balança. Eu vou para a turbulência? Nunca! Vou aqui que está o ritmo de música”, avaliou, em entrevista ao “ge.com”.
