Klub-Legende David Beckham (50) hat davon jetzt genug und gibt bei „CBS Sports“ offen und ehrlich zu: „Mir gefällt es nicht, was mit dem Verein passiert.“

Diallo entschuldigte sich später in den sozialen Medien: „Noch einmal: Es war nicht meine Absicht, jemanden zu verletzen – ich habe lediglich auf eine ungesunde Person reagiert. Ich entschuldige mich bei allen, die sich angesprochen oder betroffen fühlen.“

Beckham meint: „Egal, ob wir durch Europa oder Asien reisten – wir haben die Fans respektiert. Wir haben gewürdigt, dass sie gekommen sind, Geld bezahlt haben, um uns zu sehen, ein Autogramm zu bekommen oder ein Foto mit uns zu machen. Das muss man respektieren.“

Der Engländer hat von 1992 bis 2003 viele erfolgreiche Jahre bei Manchester United verbracht, gewann dort sechsmal die Premier League, zweimal den FA Cup und einmal die Champions League.

Deutlich düsterer sehen die Zeiten bei den „Red Devils“ heute aus. Nach der schlechtesten Liga-Saison jemals und dem verlorenen Europa-League-Finale (0:1 gegen Tottenham) liegen die Nerven bei United blank.
