O Vasco tenta como pode valorizar Léo Jardim e oferecer um novo contrato em comum acordo, mas se incomoda com a postura do empresário do goleiro e caminha para exercer a renovação automática.
A diretoria esperava ter um desfecho positivo depois de mais uma oferta na última semana, mas a proposta foi recusada por Paulo Pitombeira, representante de Jardim.
Com a meta de 50% dos jogos na temporada 2025 mais próxima, a direção entende que a renovação automática será o caminho natural, uma vez que os agentes seguem pedindo valores muito elevados. Com isso, a permanência de Jardim até o fim de 2026 estaria resguardada.
A atual proposta é com salário dos mais altos do elenco, no patamar do atacante Vegetti, e contrato até o fim de 2030. Jardim não ofereceu resistência, mas o empresário bate o pé e quer mais.
Na visão do Vasco, os agentes tentam forçar para que Léo Jardim possa receber o que eles desejam em outra equipe, uma vez que está valorizado e tem sondagens de clubes brasileiros e do exterior. Com vínculo até o fim de 2025, o goleiro poderá assinar pré-contrato com outra equipe a partir de julho.
Também pesa contra o acerto dívidas de Paulo Pitombeira no clube em relação a outras negociações. O agente também cuida da carreira do zagueiro João Victor, dentro do elenco atual.
