As convocações, geralmente, desfalcam muitos times. Porém, dessa vez, dois jogadores se viram em meio a polêmicas. Isso porque Enner Valencia, do Internacional, e Gonzalo Plata, do Flamengo, foram chamados para a Seleção do Equador. Por conta das lesões dos atletas, os respectivos clubes não aprovam a convocação da dupla.
No caso de Plata, depois de algumas farpas entre a equipe carioca e a Federação Equatoriana de Futebol, ele retornará no início da próxima semana ao Rio de Janeiro. Por sua vez, Enner Valencia deve continuar com o restante do grupo, que treina em Guayaquil e deve voltar a Porto Alegre apenas depois da Data Fifa.

Enner Valencia estava se recuperando de uma lesão muscular no clube, que tem um time de desfalques, e vinha fazendo atividades com o Departamento Médico do Internacional. Porém, o jogador estava em uma recuperação mais avançada em comparação com o jogador do Flamengo, que ainda terá a disputa do Super Mundial de Clubes ainda em junho.
De acordo com as informações da jornalista Gabriela Alcivar, do jornal El Canal, o jogador está fazendo atividades com o restante do time. No entanto, Valencia ainda não está 100% na sua forma física. Ele não tem treinado na mesma intensidade que os demais atletas e fez apenas atividades com bola nos gramados.
Diante disso, tudo indica que o centroavante tende a ser preservado por Sebastián Beccaece. Ou seja, não deve atuar no confronto contra o Brasil, previsto para acontecer na próxima quinta-feira (5), pelas Eliminatórias para a Copa do Mundo de 2026.
Torcida do Internacional não ficou contente
Nas redes sociais, a torcida do Internacional, que ficou desesperada com o sorteio da Libertadores, não gostou da permanência do jogador durante a Data Fifa. Muitos internautas pediram para que Enner Valencia, assim como Gonzalo Plata, também fosse liberado para seguir o protocolo de recuperação definido pelo DM do Colorado. “Sempre os clubes do eixo conseguindo tudo o que querem”, apontou um.
“Sério que vão manter ele no Equador? O cara não tem ritmo, não tem nem condições de atuar”, reclamou mais um internauta. “O Internacional tinha que ser mais firme nos seus posicionamentos, foi assim que o Flamengo antecipou o retorno do Plata… Ai fica a gente chupando o dedo com os jogadores todos lesionados”, disse um terceiro. “Se fosse pra jogar pelo Inter, estaria 100% lesionado”, acusou outro.
