The Indiana Pacers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder (111-110) and took the lead in the NBA Finals (0-1), thanks to a basket by Tyrese Haliburton with 0.3 seconds left in the game. In the fourth quarter, where they were down 94-79, the team made an epic comeback, showing their hunger for victory.
On this occasion, Indiana’s challenge was different. In an exclusive with Marca and ahead of Game 2, Thomas Bryant, James Johnson, and Bennedict Mathurin take a break to have fun in a quiz to determine how well they know their teammates.

How did Thomas Bryant do?
Marca gave the Indiana center his first clue: the player he had to guess is currently 25 years old and was born in 1999. He couldn’t guess it. So, we gave him another clue: he was drafted in 2020. “Ben? Ben Math?” he said, referring to Bennedict Mathurin, but it wasn’t him.
Thinking hard, he decided to ask for another clue: he played for another team before the Pacers and is not an NBA champion. “Pascal [Siakam]?” he tried. But it wasn’t him, so we gave him another clue: he’s from South Carolina and his other team was the Celtics. This clue got Bryant’s attention, and he finally responded with a laugh: “OH! Double A, Aaron Nesmith.”
How did James Johnson do?
His player to guess was TJ McConnell. And he didn’t do too badly, as we only had to give him THREE CLUES!
We started by saying that his player is 33 years old and was born in 1992. We gave him time to think and added that his player was only on one other team before the Pacers. “TJ McConnell,” he said confidently. And he was right!
How did Bennedict Mathurin do?
The player he had to guess was born in 1997 and is 27 years old. While he was reviewing the information and his teammates, we gave him one more clue: he was drafted in 2017 and played for four teams before the Pacers.
With some hesitation, Mathurin takes a chance: “Tony Bradley?” he asks. However, he then gets it right: “Thomas Bryant.”
Without a doubt, these Pacers players know their teammates well.
