Simone Biles stunned on the Netflix FYC red carpet, but it was her husband’s fashion statement at the 2025 Met Gala that truly left her speechless.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens party up with tequila

Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, attended Netflix’s “For Your Consideration” event for her documentary series Simone Biles Rising on June 7. During an interview with Scott Evans from Access Hollywood, Biles couldn’t stop gushing about her husband Jonathan Owens’ show-stopping look at the 2025 Met Gala.

Speaking about Owens’ all-white ensemble, Biles said enthusiastically, “He kind of killed it.” She added with a smile, “I know he made it onto some of the best-dressed lists-and obviously, he’s my husband, so I think he’s the best-dressed anyway-but seeing everyone else agree, I’m like, ‘Not too shabby!'”

This year’s Met Gala theme called for elegance and modern reinvention, and Jonathan Owens delivered. His monochromatic white outfit, featuring minimalist yet refined details, drew praise from fashion critics and fans alike.

The NFL player not only turned heads on the red carpet but also cemented his growing influence in the world of fashion and entertainment.

A power couple breaking barriers beyond sports

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens continue to capture hearts as one of the most admired power couples in sports and entertainment. Their mutual support is evident at every public appearance.

While Owens was making headlines in New York, Biles was promoting her deeply personal Netflix documentary, which chronicles her comeback after the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and her journey through mental health challenges.

Simone Biles speaks on social issues in sports

During her press appearance, Biles was also asked about the ongoing debate surrounding fairness in women’s sports, particularly following recent comments made by former swimmer Riley Gaines.

Gaines has publicly criticized the inclusion of transgender women in female competitions, arguing that it compromises fairness. While Biles refrained from diving into controversy, she reaffirmed her commitment to inclusion, stating that “respect, fairness, and empathy must be the starting point for any conversation in sports.”
