Nicht nur Semenyo steht im Fokus: Die Spurs und United liefern sich auch ein Rennen um Brentfords Bryan Mbeumo. Wer das Duell gewinnt, könnte Semenyos Zukunft beeinflussen. United konzentriert sich stärker auf Mbeumo und würde nur bei einem Scheitern auf Semenyo umschwenken.
Eines ist klar: Wer Semenyo will, muss tief in die Tasche greifen. Bournemouth will rund 90 Mio. Euro für ihren Spieler, berichtet die „Sun“.
Interessant: Semenyo spielte bereits als Teenager bei Tottenham, Arsenal, Crystal Palace und Fulham vor – ohne Erfolg. Gegenüber „Football Focus“ sagte er: „Als 15- oder 16-Jähriger weißt du nicht, wie du mit deinen Gefühlen umgehen sollst. Ich hatte viele Zweifel, aber meine Eltern haben mich immer unterstützt. Sie sagten immer, das Leben ist nicht immer rosig. Diese Erfahrungen haben mich bis heute motiviert.“

Denzel Clarke didn’t just rob a home run on Monday night. He nearly scaled the entire outfield wall at Angel Stadium to do so.Clarke, in the first inning of the Athletics’ matchup with the Los Angeles Angels, started tracking what should’ve been an easy solo home run from Nolan Schanuel deep in center field.
