O ex-jogador Muller entende que o elenco do São Paulo em 2025 não é talhado para vencer a disputa do Campeonato Brasileiro, pois é curto e a competição nacional é de regularidade. No entanto, para as copas, como a Libertadores, o atual comentarista da TV Gazeta crê que é perfeitamente possível que o Tricolor consiga ter sucesso.
Em participação no programa “Mesa Redonda”, da emissora paulista, no último domingo (8), o comentarista descartou qualquer chance de sucesso no Brasileirão, mas colocou o time dirigido pelo técnico Luis Zubeldía em pé de igualdade com outras grandes potências da América do Sul para disputar o título da Copa Libertadores da América deste ano.
“O Campeonato Brasileiro é por pontos corridos, tem que ter continuidade, a dificuldade é muito grande. O elenco do São Paulo é curto e por conta disso, o clube é penalizado no Brasileirão”, iniciou Muller. “Nas copas, com jogo ida e volta, um em casa e outro fora, é um tipo de campeonato que o São Paulo gosta de disputar e sempre vai bem”, avaliou.
Muller aposta no Flamengo contra o Palmeiras
Como a final da Libertadores será disputada somente no dia 29 de novembro, em Lima, no Peru, não há qualquer definição ainda sobe quais times seriam os finalistas. Em uma hipotética decisão entre Palmeiras e Flamengo, as duas equipes mais organizadas do futebol brasileiro atualmente, Muller acredita que a equipe carioca seria a grande favorita.
Questionado sobre quem levaria o título, o comentarista não teve dúvidas. “Flamengo. É mais time tecnicamente que o Palmeiras. A técnica faz toda a diferença. O detalhe. Quem são os jogadores decisivos do Palmeiras hoje? A gente fica pensando… No Flamengo tem Luiz Araújo, Pedro, que está voltando, o Arrascaeta está voando, Cebolinha…”, definiu.
São Paulo tem “despedida” no Brasileirão contra o Vasco
Como apontado por Muller, a campanha do Tricolor no Brasileirão não é das melhores – o clube ocupa apenas a 13ª colocação na tabela de classificação -, mas tentará melhorar um pouco seu desempenho antes da parada para a disputa da Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa. Os comandados do técnico Luis Zubeldía vão enfrentar o Vasco nesta quinta-feira (12), às 21h30, no Morumbis.
O duelo da 12ª rodada da competição nacional poderá marcar a estreia do centroavante argentino Juan Dinneno, contratado por empréstimo do Cruzeiro até o fim desta temporada. O atleta passou por exames médicos no time paulista e deve ser oficializado ainda nesta segunda-feira (9) e, em seguida, inscrito no Brasileirão logo que for regularizado no BID (Boletim Informativo Diário) da CBF.
