Nick Chubb left Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns to join a Super Bowl contender in the AFC, and now it’s time for Quinshon Judkins

For the first time in his entire career, Nick Chubb, once one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL, will play for a team other than the Cleveland Browns. This marks the end of an era for the Browns, passing the baton to the new generation that arrived in the most recent NFL Draft.

Cam Ward gets compared to Mahomes for his throws that make Shedeur look average

With Chubb‘s near-certain departure, it’s an opportunity for Quinshon Judkins or another running back to take center stage in the upcoming NFL season.

Nick Chubb Heads to a Super Bowl Contender

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, Nick Chubb is set to join the Houston Texans as a free agent, pending the results of his medical evaluations.

It’s worth noting that Cleveland selected Chubb in the 2018 NFL Draft with the 34th overall pick, a selection they originally acquired from Houston in a trade for Brock Osweiler. From that point on, Nick Chubb became a Browns fan favorite and one of the most prominent players in franchise history.

Between 2019 and 2022, Chubb was a Pro Bowl selection four years in a row and earned Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2022. However, his career was derailed by a serious injury in Week 3 of the 2023 season, where he tore his ACL, MCL, meniscus, and medial capsule.

His return came in the second half of last season, but he wasn’t quite the same. He totaled 332 yards, three touchdowns, and averaged just 3.3 yards per carry – the lowest of his career.

Quinshon Judkins and the New Era in Cleveland

Now, it’s time for players like Quinshon Judkins or Dylan Sampson to take the reins of the franchise, using Nick Chubb’s legacy in Cleveland as a benchmark. The Browns need young talent to rise and continue what Chubb started – building a ground game defined by consistency and explosiveness.

Nick Chubb Teams Up with Texans’ Star-Studded Offense

Chubb now joins the Houston Texans, a team considered a serious contender in the AFC. He’ll be led by quarterback C.J. Stroud and supported by dynamic wide receivers like Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Christian Kirk, while forming a powerful backfield duo with fellow running back Joe Mixon.

Djokovic overcomes fatigue and Tien test to earn US Open win

Novak Djokovic overcame fatigue, blisters and teenager Learner Tien to reach the second round on Sunday night at the US Open. The 38-year-old, bidding for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam, made it 19 consecutive wins against Americans at Grand Slams and 19-0 in US Open first-round matches.
