Xabi Alonso
Nach der Absturz-Saison ohne Titel steckt Real Madrid mitten im Umbruch. Angeführt wird der Neustart von Trainer Xabi Alonso. Leverkusens Double-Macher von 2024 übernahm vorzeitig von Carlo Ancelotti (65).
Auch der erste neue Topstar ist dabei. Trent Alexander-Arnold (26) kommt vom FC Liverpool. Zum 1. Juli wäre der Engländer nach 20 Jahren bei den „Reds“ ablösefrei gewesen. Weil ihn Alonso von der ersten Minute an auf dem Platz haben und mit ihm das Turnier gewinnen will, zahlen die Königlichen bis zu zehn Millionen Euro Ablöse – für zwei Wochen! Auch der neue Innenverteidiger Dean Huijsen (20), der für knapp 60 Mio. Euro von Bournemouth verpflichtet wurde, steht im Kader.
[–>Im Mittelfeld muss Alonso den Taktgeber Luka Modric (39) ersetzen, der den Klub nach 13 Jahren verlassen hat. Supertalent Franco Mastantuono (17) kann er noch nicht einsetzen. Zwar ziehen die Königlichen beim Mittelfeld-Juwel von River Plate die Ausstiegsklausel und zahlen 45 Mio. Euro Ablöse. Aber wechseln darf Mastantuono erst nach seinem 18. Geburtstag am 14. August. Die Klub-WM spielt er für River Plate.
Der wichtigste Auftrag für Alonso lautet: Aus einer Ansammlung von Stars eine Mannschaft formen, die wieder fähig ist, Titel zu gewinnen. Er muss dafür sorgen, dass z. B. Kylian Mbappé (26), Jude Bellingham (21) und Vinícius Júnior (24) gemeinsam in der Offensive funktionieren – und nicht jeder für sich glänzen will.
Die Klub-WM wird für Real und Alonso zur ersten Teambuilding-Maßnahme. Der Titelgewinn wird vorausgesetzt.
