No último domingo (8), o Oklahoma City Thunder dominou o Indiana Pacers, venceu por 123 a 107 e empatou as finais da NBA em 1 a 1. O jogo 3 da grande decisão acontece já nesta quarta-feira (11), em Indiana, às 21h30 (de Brasília), com transmissão da Band na TV aberta, da ESPN e no NBA League Pass.
Depois da frustrante derrota no jogo 1, o Thunder não deu chances para novos ‘escorregões’ e confirmou uma vitória segura. MVP da temporada, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander comandou o time, marcou 34 pontos e quebrou recordes históricos da maior liga de basquete do mundo.
Com 72 pontos somando as duas partidas (38 + 34), o armador canadense se tornou o jogador com mais pontos nos dois primeiros jogos da carreira nas finais e deixou para trás nomes como Allen Iverson (71), Michael Jordan (69), Nikola Jokic e Kevin Durant (68).
Indiana Pacers joga por reação nas finais
O time do leste não teve uma boa atuação no jogo 2 em Oklahoma. Principal estrela da equipe, Tyrese Haliburton marcou apenas 17 pontos, sendo a maior parte deles em um momento que a partida já está praticamente resolvida. No jogo 1, o armador anotou apenas 14, mas fez o arremesso decisivo da vitória fora de casa.
A expectativa para o terceiro encontro é que o Indiana Pacers fuja dos turnovers e seja mais eficiente no ataque, além da necessidade de diminuir o ímpeto ofensivo do OKC, que teve cinco jogadores com 15 pontos ou mais na última partida.
Depois de fazer história na conferência leste e eliminar o Milwaukee Bucks de Giannis Antetokounmpo, Cleveland Cavaliers e New York Knicks de forma emblemática, a equipe amarela luta pelo primeiro título de NBA da sua história, assim como o Thunder (que venceu como Seattle SuperSonics, mas ainda não em Oklahoma).
