Ratiopharm Ulm verliert Spiel vier in der Playoff-Halbfinalserie bei den Fit/One Würzburg Baskets mit 77:78. Die Entscheidung um den Einzug ins Endspiel um die deutsche Meisterschaft in der Easycredit Basketball-Bundesliga damit vertagt! Auf höchst dramatische Weise.
Das sieht man selten: Basketball-Dunk geht komplett daneben
Bis dato hatte Würzburg in den Playoffs noch kein Heimspiel verloren. Und zeigte direkt, dass sie das auch weiterhin nicht vorhatten.
Von Anfang an on fire: Zac Seljaas (27). Würzburgs Vokuhila-Profi reißt seine Mitspieler und die Fans direkt mit – und liefert. Bei 17:10 im ersten Viertel nimmt Ulm-Trainer Ty Harrelson (44) die erste Auszeit: „Ich habe es euch in der Kabine gesagt, sie gehen früh zu Seljaas.“ Der hat zu dem Zeitpunkt schon drei von vier Dreier-Versuchen getroffen.

Die entscheidende Szene: 48 Sekunden vor Schluss führen die Ulmer mit 77:76, sind im Ballbesitz. Auf dem Weg zum Korb setzt Seljaas einen herausragenden Block an, erobert den Ball 29 Sekunden vor Ende. Der Ball kommt zu Mintz, der nimmt den Wurf – und trifft 8,9 Sekunden vor Schluss zum 78:77!
Was für ein Krimi! Auszeit Ulm — und noch ein letzter Abschluss? Nein! So weit kommen sie erst gar nicht, weil Würzburg erneut den Ball klaut, dann die Uhr herunterlaufen lässt.
