Chaos-Training in der Formel 1 – TV-Experte: „So was hat schon mal Leben gekostet!“

Schon die erste Session hatte es in sich!

Am Sonntag fährt die Formel 1 in Montreal (20 Uhr, RTL und Sky live, Liveticker bei BILD.de). Im Training zum Großen Preis von Kanada kommt es am Freitag zu einigen brenzligen Szenen.

► Gleich zu Beginn dreht sich Franco Colapinto (22) in seinem Alpine, steht plötzlich umgekehrt zu Fahrtrichtung. Weit genug außerhalb der Strecke – so gefährdet er die anderen Fahrer nicht.

[–>Nach einer Viertelstunde schlägt Charles Leclerc (27) im Ferrari in die Mauer ein. Rote Flagge! Der Monegasse funkt in seine Box: „Sorry! Mein Fehler. Ich habe das Auto an die Mauer gesetzt.“ Da wartet viel Arbeit auf die Mechaniker von Ferrari. Zu viel, um das Auto fürs zweite Training wieder repariert zu bekommen. Die Session (Freitag, 23 Uhr deutscher Zeit) findet ohne Leclerc statt.,

► Schon kurz vorher kommt es zur haarigsten Szene des Tages: Gabriel Bortoleto (20) zieht im Sauber an Lewis Hamilton (40/Ferrari) vorbei, will auch Alex Albon (29/Williams) überholen. Der will den Weg freimachen, fährt dabei aber fast in Bortoleto rein.

Der Brasilianer wütet am Funk: „Was macht der Typ da?“

Albon meldet seiner Box: „Ich habe versucht, das Richtige zu tun. Ich wollte ihm die Ideallinie geben.“

Sky-TV-Experte Ralf Schumacher (49): „Das war gefährlich, war ein bisschen verrückt. Albon will da aus dem Weg. Er wollte ihm die Ideallinie freigeben, damit Bortoleto nicht durch den Dreck muss. Aber er war zu spät dran.“

Und weiter: „So ein Geschwindigkeits-Unterschied hat schon mal ein Leben gekostet.“

Damit meint der Ex-Fahrer den tödlichen Unfall von Gilles Villeneuve (†32) am 8. Mai 1982 in Zolder/Belgien. Damals wollte Jochen Maas (†78) dem viel schnelleren Kanadier die Ideallinie freigeben. Der konnte nicht mehr reagieren, fuhr ins Hinterrad von Maas‘ Auto und wurde in die Luft geschleudert.

Albon will den Weg für Bortoleto freimachen – Beinahe-Crash bei der Formel 1 in Montreal

In Montreal kommt es glücklicherweise nicht zum Crash. Aber der Schreck steckt allen Beteiligten in den Gliedern.

► Später dreht sich noch Lewis Hamilton. George Russell (27/Mercedes) und Lando Norris (25/McLaren) verlassen mit ihren Boliden die Strecke, fahren ins Gras.

Schnellster des ersten Trainings ist Weltmeister Max Verstappen (27) im Red Bull.
