The whirlwind romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has been fueling headlines for months-from romantic getaways to globe-trotting support appearances. But a recent photo of the pair has officially broken the internet… and even caught Pat McAfee’s attention.
The pop icon and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were spotted courtside at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers at Amerant Bank Arena.
Clips from the couple’s hockey date quickly circulated online, but one image stole the show during the Panthers’ 5-4 overtime win, which tied the series at 2-2. In it, Swift and Kelce walk side by side-with Travis appearing absolutely massive, even next to the statuesque Taylor.
McAfee’s reaction: “He might be 10 feet tall!”
Naturally, the always-outspoken Pat McAfee had something to say. On a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, he joked, “I don’t know if you know this-Travis Kelce is now 10 feet tall.”
McAfee continued, “Taylor was wearing huge heels, and Travis’s head was hitting the roof. This guy might’ve grown this offseason. He might be 10 feet tall. He might’ve hit a growth spurt at 30-plus. We might need to look at Travis Kelce having the year of a lifetime.”
Fans, of course, leapt into the fray. “Pat McAfee saying what we’re all thinking-how in the heck is Taylor that tall in heels and Travis STILL towers over her?” one fan wrote. Another chimed in, “It’s the Taylor Swift Aura, lol. Makes ya grow tall and proud, lol.”
Optical illusion or NFL mutation?
Swift is famously tall for a pop star-standing 5-foot-10, she towers over most of her peers. Kelce, meanwhile, is listed at 6-foot-5 in official NFL records. That height gap alone is significant… even without a sudden mid-30s growth spurt.
Could it be some kind of football fairy tale transformation? Probably not. But when the NFL and the Chiefs updates their records, the truth behind the meme will be revealed-whether Kelce really stretched skyward this offseason or if we’ve all just fallen victim to the magic of camera angles.
