How to watch Liberty at Fever: Caitlin Clark expected to play vs. undefeated New York

The New York Liberty look eminently comfortable as the final boss of women’s basketball. The Indiana Fever are eager to reclaim buzz as Caitlin Clark approaches her return. One day after Indianapolis hosts Game 4 of the NBA Finals, these two WNBA crowd-drawers face off on broadcast television.

How to watch New York Liberty at Indiana Fever

ABC is also available over the air with a broadcast antenna and can be streamed on ESPN+.

Hyperbole is high in stock these days, and we’re only a quarter of the way through the season, but it’s fair to say that Sandy Brondello’s squad is off to the single best WNBA championship defense of all time. Let’s marinate on this brain-wrinkling excellence:

On defense, the Liberty handily lead the pack in points allowed, steals and blocks. The W’s top six players by defensive rating all rock seafoam green. On offense, they are No. 1 in points per game and shooting efficiency. All of this amid one of the deepest talent pools in league history.

To top it off, New York has an absurd net rating of plus-23.4. For comparison, the 9-1 Minnesota Lynx rank second right now at plus-10.9. Last year’s Liberty finished at plus-11.7. The 2023 champion Las Vegas Aces, who set regular-season records and lost just one game all playoffs, were a plus-15.6.

The high-water mark for most wins to start a season belongs to the 2016 Minnesota Lynx, who came out of the gate at 13-0. Maya Moore and company are on watch.

Indiana hosts Saturday’s showdown at just 4-5, stalled by injuries to Clark (quadriceps) and Sophie Cunningham (ankle). Both players are expected to return against the Liberty.

Stephanie White’s group has run into some wonky luck besides those absences. Basketball Reference has their expected win-loss mark at 6-3. Three of their five Ls were one-possession stingers, including the frenetic 90-88 matchup with the Liberty last month. Clark got hurt at the end of that game and hasn’t suited up since.

Clark is the supernova that powers Indy’s offense, but Aliyah Boston has been superb so far. She’s up to a career-best 65 percent on 2-pointers, and ranks in the top 10 in offensive rebounding for the third straight year. Boston holds down the second-ranked defense on the inside, and the perimeter has held opponents to a league-worst 28.3 percent on 3s. This team becomes truly dangerous if Clark returns in form.

Saturday is leg four of five for the Eastern Conference side of the Commissioner’s Cup. New York closes out against Atlanta on Tuesday, while Indiana faces Connecticut.

Best player to wear both jerseys: Natasha Howard. The three-time WNBA champ and 2019 Defensive Player of the Year now wears Fever threads, but she had a 2022 All-Star bid with the Liberty.

Pittsburgh Steelers Week 13 Preview: A Herd of Buffalo

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 season has six games remaining and three of those will be played in Pittsburgh while the other half of the games has Pittsburgh taking to the road. It begins in week 13 of the season with the Buffalo Bills coming to Acrisure Stadium. This game should take the form of a playoff matchup for both teams, as Pittsburgh and Buffalo are not just fighting for a shot at the postseason but possibly winning their respective divisions. Which team is a victory more important for? Certainly, that question should be geared more towards the Steelers. Currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens for first place, Pittsburgh has an extremely crucial game in Baltimore following the Bills game. Buffalo finds themselves two full games behind the red hot first place New England Patriots and how New England has been […]

Northern Ireland's Charlie Smyth is set to make his NFL debut for the New Orleans Saints against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The 24-year-old former Gaelic footballer has been promoted to the Saints' active roster, replacing kicker Blake Grupe. Grupe was released after missing two field goals in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, his seventh and eighth failed attempts of the season. Earlier this week, the Saints signed former Cincinnati, Washington, and Cleveland kicker Cade York to their practice squad. Both York and Smyth were evaluated during training, but on Saturday the team opted to elevate Smyth, paving the way for his NFL regular-season bow. Vicario booed by own fans as Fulham pile misery on shambolic Spurs

Guglielmo Vicario was booed by his own supporters as his howler in a shambolic opening half against Fulham saw Spurs concede twice in the first six minutes with a second-half revival not enough to avoid a 2-1 defeat - which could have been much worse. Already trailing from Kenny Tete's third-minute deflected opener, a moment of madness from the Italian goalkeeper less than three minutes later gifted possession to Harry Wilson after running some 25 yards off his line, who punished his poor clearance with a stunning strike into the unguarded net. It was the earliest Spurs had conceded two goals in the history of the Premier League and enough for Spurs fans, who have seen their side win just three of their last 21 home league games, to turn on Vicario and his colleagues, booing several of his touches […]

Carnell Tate, Julian Sayin Revel In 1st Win over Michigan: ‘It Means Everything’

After losing to Michigan in his first two seasons at Ohio State (2023-24), wide receiver Carnell Tate knows what Saturday's 27-9 win meant for the Buckeyes."It means everything to us," Tate told FOX Sports College Football Reporter Jenny Taft after the game. "They came to our home and beat us last year and put on a show. So it meant everything for us to come out here and put on a show and give them a taste of what they gave us last year."After losing to Michigan in "The Horseshoe" last season, Tate took out his anger in a revenge game. He paced Ohio State with five catches for 82 yards and a touchdown on Saturday, essentially checking the only empty box left in his Buckeyes' career. As for Tate's quarterback, though, Julian Sayin has only experienced success as the Buckeyes' […]

Ryan Day Finally Gets Revenge as Ohio State Dominates Michigan

Ryan Day has gotten a lot of flak over his tenure at Ohio State for not winning The Game. Of course, Day had won it in his first year, but since that first win, Michigan had turned the tables on what was a lopsided rivalry in the 2010s. Michigan seemed to win each game by being the tougher team, pulling away late after wearing you down with hard, physical runs for the first three quarters.2025 started like a repeat of past sins, with Michigan scoring on its first drive by ripping off chunk plays on the ground. Then Julian Sayin followed that up with a horrible interception, trying to hit Jeremiah Smith in double coverage. Over the past few years, Michigan would’ve rolled that momentum to a close win — but this Ohio State team is entirely different. Carnell Tate […]
