Joaquín Correa elogia mentalidade do Botafogo e destaca PSG: “É um time muito importante”

Joaquín Correa é um dos reforços oficializados pelo Botafogo para a disputa do Super Mundial de Clubes da Fifa e para o restante da temporada 2025 do futebol brasileiro que inclui jogos eliminatórios de Libertadores e Copa do Brasil, além do restante do Campeonato Brasileiro.  

“Meus companheiros me receberam bem. Por isso que eu acho que ganharam Libertadores e o Brasileirão: porque é um grupo muito unido, de gente que quer ganhar. Estou feliz por estar nesse grupo”, iniciou em declarações publicadas pelo site Globo Esporte (GE).

Joaquín Correa elogiou a mentalidade dos companheiros de equipe e avalia que o Glorioso está no caminho certo para ser um time competitivo, no Mundial de Clubes. 

“Uma competição como essa pode ajudar muito um time como o nosso a crescer. Mas a mentalidade dos meus companheiros e do treinador é muito boa, sempre quer ganhar. Penso que esse é o caminho certo”, opinou.

Joaquín Correa fala sobre jogos do Botafogo, no Mundial de Clubes 

O time do investidor John Textor integra o grupo B do campeonato. O atual vencedor da Uefa Champions League, PSG, e o espanhol Atlético de Madrid são os principais adversários. No entanto, o clube alvinegro estreia jogando contra o Seattle Sounders, neste domingo (15), a partir das 23h (horário de Brasília). 

“Joguei muitas vezes contra eles. (O PSG) é um time muito importante. Primeiro teremos outra partida antes. Para ganhar, vamos pensar primeiro no dia 15 e, depois, neles”, afirmou relatou Joaquín Correa. 

O duelo entre Botafogo e PSG está previsto para o dia 19, às 22h. Depois disso, o Glorioso encara o Atlético de Madrid, no dia 23, às 16h. O time colchonero é treinado pelo argentino Diego Simeone e tem vários jogadores que são da mesma nacionalidade do hermano Joaquín Correa.
