Along with the team’s return, one of its most ardent supporters also returned, Olivia Dunne, a former LSU gymnast who is currently Paul Skenes’ girlfriend.Dunne, who recently appeared on the cover of the 2025 edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, was on hand in Omaha on Saturday cheering on the team and, during a conversation with Hurrdat Sports, expressed her excitement at being part of Skenes‘ journey, who was named National League Rookie of the Year last season and is currently in spectacular form with high expectations for his future.
When I came in 2023 it was one of the best experiences I’ve had, so I had to come back, support the Tigers and also Paul.
About Skenes’ career, she added: “Seeing him go from college to the minor leagues and then to the major leagues has been a dream and something really fun to witness. It all happened so fast, that’s why I tell my teammates who are dating LSU players to enjoy every moment, because I don’t know if there’s anything that beats Omaha. It’s just so much fun to be here.”

Dunne also shared her favorite memory from that historic campaign: “Seeing Paul strike out 12 batters, that was great,” she replied when asked about her favorite moment in Omaha.
Where did Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne meet?
Livvy Dunne and Skenes met at Louisiana State University, when she was a gymnast while Skenes was the LSU pitcher. Dunne herself has admitted that she had no idea that Skenes was such a good pitcher, because when he had a game, she had a competition, so it was not until long after that she saw what he was capable of as a pitcher.
I never got to see him pitch because he pitched on Friday nights and that’s when we competed, so I had no idea what he was capable of back then
