In the recent NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns were major protagonists-not because they did well, in fact, their actions in April were highly questionable. The Browns traded back and used the fifth pick to select defensive tackle Mason Graham, and with the pick originally held by Cleveland, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Travis Hunter.

When we say the Browns were protagonists, it’s because whichever team picked Shedeur Sanders was bound to attract attention. Kevin Stefanski’s team took Deion Sanders’ son in the fifth round with the 144th overall pick. Two rounds earlier, they had also selected another quarterback-Dillon Gabriel from the Oregon Ducks.

Insider reveals Browns will look for a quarterback in the next Draft
Many hope Shedeur Sanders will win the battle and become the Browns’ starter, silencing critics after falling from being a projected first-round pick to the fifth round. However, it seems the franchise has other plans.
NFL insider Tony Grossi appeared this week on The Sick Podcast with Andy McNamara and discussed the Browns’ quarterback situation. He stated that the team will seek its quarterback in next year’s draft.
“I tell all my listeners-and they don’t like to hear it-but the franchise quarterback is in next year’s draft,” said Tony Grossi.
It’s worth remembering that the Cleveland Browns will have their own first-round pick, as well as the first-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, which they acquired through a trade in this year’s draft. The next draft is expected to feature a strong quarterback class, including Drew Allar from Penn State, and possibly Arch Manning from the Texas Longhorns, if he declares for the draft.
