A realização da Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa direcionou as atenções da imprensa esportiva internacional para o futebol brasileiro. Estêvão foi destaque na Alemanha. O atacante do Palmeiras foi comparado a Neymar durante mais uma edição do podcast He Can Kick, do jornal Zeit.
“Ele é o típico driblador brasileiro”, disse Fabian Scheler, um dos apresentadores do veículo de comunicação. “A resposta brasileira ao Neymar”, acrescentou Christian Spiller. Scheler continuou o debate e destacou a participação do atleta em campo. “Na verdade, eu só o vejo se movimentando por dentro”, completou.
Números de Estêvão no Mundial de Clubes
Se por um lado o jogador chama atenção pelo talento, por outro, está zerado em gols e assistências. Estêvão foi titular no empate por 0 a 0 contra o Porto e na vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o Al-Ahly, mas acabou substituído durante o segundo tempo de cada confronto.
Palmeiras decide classificação
O time comandado por Abel Ferreira volta a campo nesta segunda (23). A partir das 22h (horário de Brasília), encara o Inter Miami, no estádio Hard Rock. O confronto é válido pela última rodada da fase de grupos do Mundial de Clubes. Um empate favorece os dois times. Estêvão vai enfrentar o ídolo Lionel Messi.
“Ansioso para isso, um ídolo, uma referência desde pequeno. Saber que vou enfrentar ele… nem sei como imaginar”, declarou o atacante do Palmeiras, em entrevista concedida ao site Globo Esporte.
Time pode mudar a escalação
De acordo com informações oficiais, o meio-campista Aníbal Moreno foi diagnosticado com um edema na coxa direita. Ele já foi submetido a exames e é dúvida para o duelo contra o rival dos Estados Unidos. O uruguaio Emiliano Martínez está cotado para a vaga.
Nesse sentido, uma provável escalação do Palmeiras é formada por: Weverton; Giay, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo e Piquerez; Richard Ríos, Emiliano Martínez e Raphael Veiga (Felipe Anderson); Esêvão, Maurício e Vitor Roque (Flaco López).
