Next season, the Kansas City Chiefs are once again favorites in the AFC to return to the Super Bowl. However, the gap is closing more and more in the AFC, as the Chiefs will face strong competition from teams like Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and, of course, the Buffalo Bills, led by MVP Josh Allen, among others.

Focusing on the Buffalo Bills, this team is in urgent need of finally making a deep playoff run. During the regular season, it always seems like it’s Buffalo’s and Josh Allen’s year, but something always happens in January-especially against the Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo has suffered four consecutive playoff losses to Kansas City in recent years, the most recent being in last season’s AFC Championship Game.
Despite all of this, during the offseason, the Bills rewarded Josh Allen’s outstanding performances by giving him a $330 million contract over 6 years, $250 million of which is guaranteed. Additionally, in his personal life, the quarterback married Hailee Steinfeld, so he should be even more motivated to lead Buffalo to the Super Bowl.
Josh Allen shared his thoughts on Keon Coleman
Last season, the Bills didn’t have a top-tier receiver, yet they still averaged 30.9 points per game, thanks to Josh Allen’s talent. They had the second-best offense in the NFL, and they’ll need to follow a similar path this year, especially since Buffalo’s cap space is tight due to Allen’s contract, making it hard to bring in a star receiver.
That’s why Josh Allen is hoping that wide receiver Keon Coleman, entering his second year, takes a big step forward. In his rookie season, he recorded 556 yards and 4 touchdowns, although his performance dropped significantly after suffering an injury in Week 9, and he was virtually invisible in the playoffs.
Despite that situation, Coleman has a lot of talent, and Josh Allen spoke with Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report about the role Coleman will play in the upcoming season:
“He looks very fluid right now. I feel like he’s added some muscle mass, he’s moving faster-not just physically, but also mentally with our offensive system. I think he’s approached this offseason the way you’d want a second-year receiver to do.”
One thing about Josh Allen is that he’s a leader who stays close to his teammates. He also believes his relationship with Coleman has continued to grow.
“I love the guy, he’s got a good head on his shoulders, he’s a very positive person, and he loves football. What I like most about him is that he wants to be the best version of himself, and we’re going to keep working hard to be ready for the start of the season. The more practices we share, the more we’ll grow.”
The Bills have no choice this season but to reach the Super Bowl. And that means finally beating the Chiefs in the playoffs-especially Patrick Mahomes.
