Atacante destaque da Raposa na temporada quase foi para outro clube da Série A em seu retorno do futebol italiano
Na campanha do Cruzeiro neste início de Brasileirão, com o time brigando pela liderança, um dos grandes destaques é Kaio Jorge. O atacante tem feito gols (oito) e ajudado muito os mineiros no sucesso atual nestas rodadas iniciais de competição. Mas quase que o atleta foi para outra equipe, segundo as palavras do próprio.
Quase foi para o Inter?
No podcast liderado por Denílson, o jogador da Raposa revelou que chegou a ser sondado pelo Internacional ainda em 2024, quando jogava na Itália. O atleta também citou o Palmeiras como possível destino, dentre os clubes que chegaram a procurar o atacante neste período em que esteve cogitando voltar ao futebol brasileiro,
Mas Kaio Jorge decidiu por ir para o Cruzeiro. O motivo que o fez escolher a proposta cruzeirense do que a colorada ou até mesmo a do Verdão foi ver na equipe mineira um projeto ao qual mais lhe seduziu em termos de oferecer aquilo que gostaria para poder deixar a Europa e retornar ao Brasil.
“Estava acabando meu empréstimo ao Frosinone (estava na época vinculado à Juventus) e começaram a vir especulações do Brasil. Restaram o Internacional, o Palmeiras e o Cruzeiro, este por último. Só que eles me ofereceram um projeto bem mais interessante, de visibilidade, de estar jogando”, declarou o atacante
Europeus querem o jogador
A escolha pela Raposa, ao menos dentro de campo, tem recuperado o futebol do atacante, que não teve grandes chances no futebol italiano. Rapidamente, o atleta começou a conquistar espaço e assumir a titularidade no time celeste. E, com isso, vem atraindo novamente os olhares da Europa, agora do futebol alemão.
Especulações da imprensa apontam que o Bayer Leverkusen estaria sondando Kaio Jorge e preparando uma proposta para o jogador nesta janela de transferências do meio do ano. Outras informações apontam que há a possibilidade de que o Nottingham Forest também faça uma sondagem por sua contratação
