A high-stakes moment that combined nostalgia, theatrics, and good-spirited rivalry played out at Fanatics Fest 2025 in New York City, as NFL legends Tom Bradyand Eli Manning turned the atmosphere electric with an impromptu WWE-style segment.
What began as routine celebrity appearances escalated into a playful display of competition that left the crowd roaring and social media buzzing.
Held June 20 at the Javits Center, the event saw a star-studded lineup featuring sports icons from baseball, basketball, and football, including Kevin Durant, David Beckham, and Derek Jeter.
But the show-stealer was undoubtedly the Brady-Manning encounter, which went viral almost instantaneously.
Brady emerged first, strutting down the runway to the theme of WWE star Cody Rhodes, sunglasses on and championship belt slung over his shoulder.
In a nod to classic wrestling personas, he stamped on a New York Jets jersey, spat on it, and then latched onto a New York Giants jersey, sporting Eli Manning‘s name, to rip it apart. The arena erupted in shock and excitement.
Head-to-head mock battle brings house down
Seconds later, Manning sprung into action. He sprinted onto the stage, WWE-style, surfacing from offstage with the theme “The Tribal Chief” by Roman Reigns playing-complete with signature entrance flair.
With a dramatic leap, he jumped onto Brady‘s back in a friendly takedown that had the crowd cheering like at WrestleMania. Security and fellow athletes rushed toward the duo, though it was all part of a choreographed skit.
The audience watched in awe and captured the moment on their phones, instantly uploading the spectacle to social media.
An official spokesperson for Fanatics Fest later made it clear it was all planned. As relayed to People magazine, “Both Tom and Eli were in on it. It was all fun. The crowd loved every second.”
While the skit struck a chord with fans, it also brought back memories of their classic matchups. Manning famously led the underdog Giants to two Super Bowl victories over Brady‘s Patriots-first terminating New England‘s undefeated run in Super Bowl XLII and then sealing another upset in XLVI.
That backstory gave the onstage moment both meaning and gravity, even amidst the comedic flair.
