Farid lamenta ausência do Grêmio no Mundial de Clubes e cobra mudanças: “2029 é logo ali”

O influenciador gremista lamentou o atual momento vivido pelo Tricolor Gaúcho, que não ganha títulos de grande expressão desde 2018

Os torcedores do Grêmio acompanham pela televisão o sucesso do quarteto brasileiro na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa. Um deles é Farid Germano Filho. Durante o início do duelo entre Real Madrid x Pachuca ontem (22), o jornalista gremista gravou um vídeo para as redes sociais não escondendo a sua insatisfação com a ausência de seu time na competição.

“Eu vou dizer uma coisa pra vocês, é inadmissível o Grêmio não estar no Mundial”, lamentou Farid, enquanto os dois adversários do Imortal no Mundial de Clubes de 2017 entravam em campo. Na última vez que disputou a competição, o Tricolor Gaúcho derrotou os mexicanos na semifinal e perdeu a decisão por 1 a 0 para os espanhois, com gol de falta de Cristiano Ronaldo.

Farid reconhece que time de Mano Menezes não faria um bom papel

Para o jornalista, o Grêmio precisa tratar como uma obsessão a classificação para a próxima edição do torneio, agendada para daqui a quatro anos. Porém, Farid Germano Filho ressalta que o clube de Porto Alegre precisa passar urgentemente por mudanças para voltar ao patamar anterior de quando conquistou a Libertadores pela última vez, há sete anos.

O último grande título conquistado foi a Recopa Sul-Americana de 2018. Embora tenha conquistado um heptacampeonato gaúcho em que manteve a hegemonia estadual até o ano passado, o Imortal amargou o seu terceiro rebaixamento para o Brasileirão Série B em 2021.

“O Grêmio tem a grandeza e a magnitude para estar neste Mundial. Não com o time que tem hoje, não com a direção que tem hoje. O Grêmio tem que mudar, 2019 é logo ali e o Grêmio tem que estar neste Mundial”, exigiu o youtuber, que anteriormente reclamou da parada do Brasileirão Série A para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes.

Grêmio poderia ter jogado o Mundial de Clubes

O Tricolor Gaúcho teria uma boa oportunidade de disputar o Super Mundial no novo formato se a Fifa tivesse mantido o planejamento original. Quando o presidente da entidade Gianni Infantino anunciou a criação da competição em 2019, a ideia é que a primeira edição fosse realizada em 2021 com 24 times. Porém, a pandemia acabaria adiando a Copa do Mundo de Clubes para 2025.

Caso a Fifa fosse adotar um critério semelhante ao Mundial atual para os convites aos times, em que a entidade chamou os quatro últimos campeões continentais, o Grêmio poderia ter disputado o torneio em 2021 por ter ganho a Libertadores em 2017. Posteriormente, venceriam a principal competição de clubes da Conmebol: River Plate (2018), Flamengo (2019) e Palmeiras (2020).
