Der nächste Umbruch läuft!
Bei Manchester United soll nach der Horror-Saison (Platz 15 in der Premier League, Pleite im Europa-League-Finale) alles besser werden. Trainer Ruben Amorim (40) darf den Kader in diesem Sommer erstmals nach seinen Wünschen bauen.
Ein möglicher Neuzugang: Ex-Bundesliga-Star Christopher Nkunku.
Laut der französischen „L‘Equipe“ beschäftigt sich United intensiv mit dem ehemaligen Leipziger. Es soll bereits Gespräche mit dem Nkunku-Umfeld gegeben haben, ein Angebot an Chelsea steht dagegen noch aus.
[–>Unter Trainer Enzo Maresca (45) kam Nkunku in der Liga kaum zum Zug – nur neun Startelfeinsätze in der Premier League, drei Tore. Meist spielte er nur in der Conference League. Viel zu wenig für den Bundesliga-Torschützenkönig von 2022.
Nkunkus Vertrag bei Chelsea läuft noch bis 2029 – trotzdem soll der Conference-League-Sieger offen für einen Verkauf sein. Auch verletzungsbedingt kam Nkunku nie so richtig bei Chelsea an, in zwei Jahren kommt er nur auf 57 Spiele für den Klub.
Auch sein Marktwert ist inzwischen abgestürzt – von einst 80 Mio. Euro in der Anfangszeit bei Chelsea auf nur noch 35 Mio. (Quelle: transfermarkt.de).
Für eine Summe unterhalb seines Marktwerts soll Nkunku wechseln dürfen. Zum Vergleich: RB Leipzig kassierte im Sommer 2023 noch 60 Mio. Euro für den Franzosen.
Doch United ist nicht allein im Poker: Auch die Bayern (SPORT BILD berichtete) und der FC Barcelona haben ein Auge auf Nkunku geworfen!

Neben Nkunku jagt Manchester United einen weiteren Offensiv-Star aus der Premier League – auch Bryan Mbeumo (25, Brentford) steht bei den Red Devils auf dem Zettel.
Die große Frage bei Mbeumo: Folgt er seinem Ex-Coach Thomas Frank zu Tottenham oder ist der Weg frei für einen United-Wechsel?
Brentford soll rund 70 Mio. Euro für Mbeumo fordern. Auch seine Gehaltsvorstellung von 250 000 Euro pro Woche gilt als möglicher Knackpunkt.
