Micah Parsons is full of joy after receving this long-waited gift from NFL legend Tom Brady

Since Micah Parsons plays for the Dallas Cowboys, almost nothing on the field has beaten him. He joined the NFL in 2021 and soon became a top player, getting 256 tackles and 52.5 sacks in three years. Yet there was one thing he didn’t have, and it was a signed shirt from Tom Brady, the player he looked up to and once sacked.

At Fanatics Fest 2025 in New York City, this finally changed. Parsons and Brady had a fun moment that ended their jersey story. A video showed Parsons asking Brady for his signed jersey again.

Respect from Parsons and Brady

“I just want a jersey, bro. Put it in my house,” Parsons said with a smile, as Brady asked his team, “Have we sent Micah a jersey yet?” When they said yes, Parsons wasn’t buying it. “No, you’re lying,” he laughed. “I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Their talk was playful but also showed deep respect between two NFL stars of different times. Parsons, even after feeling ignored by Brady despite asking for his shirt many times, still called Brady an idol. A bit surprised but smiling, Brady said he would fulfil the wish.

A dream come true

And he did. Days later, Parsons showed off the signed No. 12 shirt on Instagram saying, “The GOAT jersey came in!!” Brady replied with his known “LFG.”

This moment matters more as Parsons is about to get a big contract, making him one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks ever. Even after losing four games in 2024, he still led with 12 sacks and was the best at quarterback pressures per game, NFL stats show.

Yet, swapping jerseys was a sneak peek at Parsons’ respect for past legends and it showed the NFL’s human side and how even tough players are fans deep down.

What is next for the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys start the 2025 season with a fresh image and new head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, and feel they must do well after a hard 2024, where they won 7 but lost 10 games. With the fit-to-play quarterback Dak Prescott, new key players like George Pickens and Javonte Williams, and top player Micah Parsons leading, Dallas aims to get back into the playoff race.

They begin their games on Sept. 4 with a big night game against the Philadelphia Eagles, then face tough games against the Giants, Bears, and Packers. The odds makers think their chances to play in the playoffs are low, at just 34.5%, due to a tough schedule and some unsure doubts. But with strong players on both parts of the team, the Cowboys are set on creating a new story in 2025.

With training ahead and talks of his contract ongoing, Parsons keeps his eyes on his own goals and the Cowboys’ hope to win big. Now, with Brady’s signed shirt at home, he has a token of hard work, respect, and a dream come true.
