Campeão da NBA, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander desabafou sobre as críticas direcionadas ao Oklahoma City Thunder ao longo da temporada. Com um jovem time, muitos duvidaram que OKC teria forças para chegar ao título em 2024/25, o que acabou acontecendo após a emblemática vitória no jogo 7 das finais contra o Indiana Pacers.
“Passei os últimos dias pensando e, nesse tempo de reflexão, aceitei: metade das opiniões sobre nossa trajetória vinha de ressentimento. Estava bem diante dos seus olhos o ano inteiro, mas vocês preferiram ignorar. Quanto mais conquistas alcançávamos, mais éramos desrespeitados. Diziam que éramos jovens demais, criticavam a nossa conexão”, comentou o armador, em publicação nas redes sociais.
“Previram nossa queda em cada passo — e quando vencemos, fingiram que já esperavam por isso. Ignoramos o barulho. Disseram que eu era indiferente por nunca responder, mas por que eu daria atenção a iscas de ódio e desinformação? Prefiro ser o motivo pelo qual você revê seus conceitos. Agora, olhando o troféu, percebo que minha única competição é o homem no reflexo”, concluiu o craque.

Fato é que o canadense deixou de lado todas as narrativas contra ele e teve um ano raro na história da NBA. Ele faturou o prêmio de MVP da fase regular, foi cestinha, MVP das finais e campeão, algo que apenas outros três jogadores conseguiram alcançar em uma mesma temporada: Kareem Abdul-Jabar (1971), Michael Jordan (1991, 1992, 1996 e 1998) e Shaquille O’Neal (2000).
Shai comandou o segundo time mais jovem em todos os tempos a ser campeão da liga, com 84 vitórias ao todo na temporada (68 na parte regular e 16 nos playoffs). O camisa 2 teve altas médias de pontuação, momentos decisivos e colocou seu nome para sempre na história de Oklahoma e da NBA.

Rodák z Frýdku-Místku Galásek, jeden z nejslavnějších odchovanců Baníku, opora české reprezentace a hvězda nizozemského Ajaxu Amsterodam, se vrací do dobře známých míst. V Baníku odehrál v letech 1991 až 1996 121 zápasů, ve kterých vstřelil devět branek.V roli trenéra se do Ostravy vrací po třech a půl letech. V sezoně 2021/2022 byl asistentem Ondřeje Smetany, po jehož odvolání ročník dokončil jako hlavní trenér a ve skupině o titul skončil s Baníkem pátý.
