Hat sich da ein neues Traum-Duo gefunden?
Real Madrid mit Trainer Xabi Alonso (43) hat im dritten Vorrunden-Spiel der Klub-WM RB Salzburg überzeugend mit 3:0 geschlagen und geht somit als Sieger der Gruppe H hervor.
Dabei gab es bei den Königlichen eine Premiere: Zum ersten Mal stand DFB-Star Antonio Rüdiger (32) in der Innenverteidigung neben Neuzugang Dean Huijsen (20). Dem Holländer schickte er nach dem Spiel direkt eine Warnung hinterher.
[–>In seiner Instagram-Story postete Rüdiger ein Foto, wo er wie ein sterbender Schwan zu Boden fällt. Nebendran steht Huijsen unbekümmert. Die Aufnahme ging in den sozialen Medien schnell viral. Der DFB-Star schreibt scherzhaft dazu die warnenden Worte: „Gewöhn dich dran.“ Dazu fügte er zwei Lach-Emojis hinzu.
Was er damit meint: Rüdiger ist für seine unorthodoxe Spielweise und kuriose Szenen auf dem Rasen bekannt. Immer wieder taucht er als Meme im Internet auf und sorgt für Lacher. So sorgte er bei der WM 2022 für Verwunderung, als er bei einem Sprint die Beine extrem hochzog und die Zunge rausstreckte.

Daran muss sich der Real-Neuzugang wohl erstmal gewöhnen. Auf dem Platz scheinen die beiden jedenfalls zu harmonieren. Beim 3:0 gegen Salzburg hielten sie hinten dicht und erhielten für ihr Auftreten Lob.
Schon im Vorfeld adelte Rüdiger das holländische Abwehr-Juwel: „Der Junge hat eine Ruhe, die ich selbst in manchen Spielen noch schwer erreiche.“
Huijsen kommt von Premier-League-Klub AFC Bournemouth. Die Königlichen haben die Ausstiegsklausel in Höhe von rund 60 Millionen Euro gezogen. In Madrid unterschreibt er einen Vertrag bis 2030 – und soll künftig einer der Eckpfeiler des „neuen“ Reals sein. Huijsen soll wohl ein expliziter Wunsch-Transfer von Alonso gewesen sein.
Bei der Klub-WM ist Real somit ins Achtelfinale eingezogen, trifft am 1. Juli im Hard Rock Stadium von Miami auf Juventus Turin (21 Uhr). In der Nacht auf Mittwoch spielt der BVB gegen Mexiko-Klub Monterrey. Sowohl die Madrilenen als auch die Dortmunder gehen als Favorit in ihre Spiele. Werden sie dieser Rolle jeweils gerecht, kommt es Viertelfinale zu dem Kracher-Duell der beiden Klubs.

The Toronto Blue Jays have removed outfielder Anthony Santander from the team's postseason roster, MLB announced Thursday. The move, which came just ahead of Toronto's AL Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners, ends an injury-burdened season for Santander after joining the Blue Jays in free agency this offseason.Santander is replaced by outfielder Joey Loperfido for the rest of the ALCS.
