Der Poker um Nico Williams artet zu einer Schlammschlacht aus!
Rafael Yuste, Vizepräsident des FC Barcelona, hat sich nach der Generalversammlung des spanischen Fußballverbands (RFEF) in Las Rozas zur angespannten Lage zwischen Barça und Athletic Bilbao geäußert – und ließ dabei kaum ein gutes Haar an den Basken.
Auf die Frage nach einem möglichen Transfer von Nico Williams sagte Yuste laut der spanischen „Cope“ zwar deutlich: „Er ist Spieler von Bilbao.“ Auffällig aber: Der Barça-Manager nannte Athletic konsequent nur „Bilbao“ – ein Detail, das bei Fans des Traditionsklubs aus dem Baskenland nicht gut ankommen dürfte.
Yuste weiter: „In letzter Zeit scheinen die Verantwortlichen in Bilbao nicht besonders zufrieden mit dem FC Barcelona zu sein. Das kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, denn die Beziehungen waren immer ausgezeichnet.“

Und: Er warf Athletic eine „emotionale Erpressung“ im Fall Nico Williams vor! „Was sie da machen, ist sentimentaler Druck. Das kann niemanden in Bilbao glücklich machen.“
Dabei spielt Yuste wohl auf die Umstand an, dass Athletic Bilbao den Transfer von Williams offenbar um jeden Preis stoppen will (trotz Ausstiegsklausel von rund 60 Millionen Euro, die Barça ziehen will). Die Barça-Seite vermutet, dass Williams von der Bilbao-Seite eingeredet wird, dass die Katalanen „die Bösen“ sind.
In eine solche Kerbe schlug bereit Ex-Athletic-Präsident Aitor Elizegi, der gegenüber „Mundo Deportivo“ sagte: „Wenn Nico geht, geht er zu einem Verein, der nicht bewundernswert ist.“
[–>Gleichzeitig liegen die Nerven bei den Atheltic-Fans blank. So gab es Berichte über ein zerstörtes Wandgemälde in der Stadt, das Nico Williams zeigt. Darunter schrieben Unbekannte: „Egal, ob du bleibst oder gehst – du hast unseren Respekt verloren.“
Yuste formulierte eine entsprechend klare Botschaft an die Anhänger des baskischen Klubs: „Die Fans von Bilbao sind klug. Sie wissen: Jeder Spieler in Spanien oder der Welt kann gehen, wenn er will – oder eben bleiben.“
Woltemade-Wechsel diskutiert: „Ich mache mir größte Sorgen“
Auch auf das Treffen zwischen Athletic und LaLiga reagierte der Barça-Vize mit Kritik. Der Transfer stockt derzeit, weil die Bilbao-Bosse nicht glauben, dass Barcelona genügend Einnahmen generiert, um die Ablösesumme zahlen zu können (1:1-Regel des spanischen Verbands).
Entsprechendes trug der Klub offenbar den Liga-Verantwortlichen vor. „Das hat mir ehrlich gesagt nicht gefallen“, so Yuste. Es gibt Dinge, die vereinsintern bleiben sollten. Ich hoffe, dass der Präsident von Bilbao darüber nochmal nachdenkt.“
Zum Abschluss betonte Yuste: „Ich wünsche mir, dass sich die Lage normalisiert – im Sinne der Fans beider Vereine. Barcelona und Bilbao standen lange für vorbildliche Fan-Kulturen. Dass sich das gerade ändert, stört mich.“
