La cuenta atrás ha terminado. Movistar Team ya tiene a sus ocho elegidos para afrontar la 112ª edición del Tour de Francia, que arranca este sábado en Lille y concluirá el 27 de julio en París tras recorrer 3.336,8 kilómetros íntegramente por suelo francés.
Enric Mas, líder indiscutible del conjunto telefónico, afrontará su séptima participación consecutiva en la Grande Boucle desde su debut en 2019. El balear estará acompañado por una mezcla de juventud y experiencia con el objetivo de pelear en la general y dejarse ver en todos los terrenos.
A su lado estarán Iván Romeo, Pablo Castrillo, Einer Rubio y Will Barta, todos ellos debutantes en la ronda gala, dispuestos a aprovechar sus oportunidades y crecer en la carrera más grande del mundo. La nómina se completa con los veteranos Nelson Oliveira, que tomará la salida en su noveno Tour, Gregor Mühlberger (séptimo), e Iván García Cortina, llamado a ser protagonista en las llegadas al esprint y en las jornadas de media montaña. El asturiano no corría una gran vuelta desde LaVuelta’23 y el Tour desde 2021.
El recorrido de este Tour incluye dos contrarrelojes, siete etapas llanas, seis de media montaña y otras seis de alta montaña, con cinco llegadas en alto: Hautacam, Luchon-Superbagnères, Mont Ventoux, Courchevel-Col de la Loze y La Plagne-Tarentaise. Un trazado exigente y variado en el que Movistar Team buscará dejar huella.
La presentación oficial de los equipos tendrá lugar este jueves en Lille, antes del gran pistoletazo de salida del sábado.
