Santos Cerdán, exsecretario de organización del PSOE, entraba por su propio pie en el Tribunal Supremo diez minutos antes de las 10:00 horas, momento en el que estaba citado para declarar, y salía privado de libertad tras prestar declaración ante el juez Leopoldo Puente. Prisión provisional sin fianza. Esta era la petición de la Fiscalía Anticorrupción y aceptaba el juez, en este caso concreto, de ahí la medida cautelar extrema tras redactar el auto con las medidas al respecto.
Los motivos que podrían haber argumentado para la toma de esta decisión es el posible riesgo de destrucción de pruebas (no sólo el papel, audio o vídeo). De hecho, el auto añade que no hay riesgo de fuga, como lo más esencial, además de que no hay riesgo de que pueda volver a cometer los mismos indicios delictivos.
Según detallan, Santos Cerdán solo ha contestado a las preguntas de su abogado y va a pedir una prueba pericial de las pruebas por los audios que no reconoce como tales y defiende el exsecretario de organización que están manipulados.
Pero de momento deberá permanecer privado de libertad mientras se van sucediendo las investigaciones de la UCO con sus informes. Es más, se especula con que aún no han registrado su domicilio y ven peligro de que se eliminen pruebas.

Todo se ha desencadenado después de que el informe de la UCO señalara que habrían recibido supuestamente comisiones y mordidas por contratos públicos a lo largo de los últimos años en los que el Partido Socialista llegó a la Moncloa con el Gobierno de coalición progresista. Hoy le tocaba el turno de dar explicaciones al propio Santos Cerdán después de que lo hicieran tanto José Luis Ábalos como Koldo García el pasado martes si bien en estos dos casos salieron con una serie de medidas cautelares.

Una vez se ha resuelto el auto que le lleva a la cárcel, Santos Cerdán ingresará en la prisión de Soto del Real de manera temporal a la espera de que se reúnan todos los datos en la investigación y se haga el proceso judicial.
