El efecto dominó que se avecina

En unos casos obligados, en otros, por cambio de ciclo o referente, varios de los mejores equipos del Viejo Continente han decidido dar un paso adelante, ya sea a causa del márketing o porque algo de tanta importancia no puede estar sin dueño, y han escogido al próximo portador del mítico dorsal ’10’, ese que avisa de quién es el referente del equipo o al que habría que tener en cuenta

Si bien en la mayoría de los casos portar el dorsal supone una responsabilidad añadida, el dueño del ’10’ soporta el peso de la memoria de todos aquellos que lo llevaron en algún momento, también implica una presión que muchos no saben cómo afrontar.

Un caso paradigmático es el de la Roma, equipo en el que nadie quiere coger la responsabilidad de asumir el dorsal de Francesco Totti, quien siempre ha dicho que los giallorossi no deben retirar ese número. Hasta Paulo Dybala lo rechazó y Gerson fue troleado en redes cuando posó con el 10 romanista. En Italia es de los pocos países en los que los equipos más pujantes siguen ‘fieles’ a su ’10’. Lautaro, Yildiz y Leao seguirán luciendo los galones el próximo curso. Lo mismo ocurre con el 10 del PSG, Ousmane Dembelé.

No obstante, en otros casos, es el propio club el que apuesta por un jugador concreto para que asuma los galones, y a veces, tal decisión no sale como se espera.

Durante la pretemporada, y con la salida y llegada de nuevos jugadores, se llevan a cabo los cambios pertinentes en la plantilla, así como de los dueños de los dorsales de las camiseta. Pero las motivaciones para que se produzca un cambio son más que distintas.

Cambios ‘obligados’

Poco antes de que comenzara el Mundial de Clubes, el Chelsea anunció a su nuevo ’10’. Cole Palmer, uno de los mejores jugadores del equipo londinense el pasado curso, adquirió el el dorsal, hasta ese momento en posesión de Mykhailo Mudryk, acusado formalmente de dopaje por la FA. Desde finales de 2024, el ucraniano, que llegó a costar 100 millones de euros, lleva sin jugar. Ante tal incertidumbre, el Chelsea ha tomado la decisión de darle el dorsal al centrocampista inglés.

Obligado también podría calificarse el de Ansu Fati por el de Lamine Yamal. Bien por el rendimiento que ha dado el ’10’ saliente en contraste con el actual: bien por la proyección que ya tiene Yamal y por ser la personificación y nuevo emblema del club azulgrana. No obstante, aún no es oficial y el futbolista juega al despiste en redes.

Tiene tanta importancia este dorsal que hay quien que podría poner como requisito clave para un fichaje la adjudicación del ’10’. Es lo que la rumorología afirmaba en torno al fichaje de Florian Wirtz por el Liverpool. Hasta el mismo jugador tuvo que salir al paso en sus redes sociales para negar que quisiera ‘quitarle’ el 10 a Alexis McAllister. Con el fichaje más caro de la Premier League ya efectuado, el dorsal del Leverkusen queda vacante.

Dorsales vacantes

Las inminentes salidas Ángel Correa y de Luka Modric dejan vacante el dorsal 10 tanto del Atlético de Madrid como del Real Madrid, y ya se estaría señalando a los sucesores en cada caso, que no serían otros que Julián Álvarez y Kylian Mbappé

Lo mismo ocurre en el Bayern de Múnich con la sorpresiva salida de Leroy Sané al Galatasaray, el todavía 10 bávaro en el Mundial de Clubes, que heredará tras la conclusión del torneo el crack alemán Jamal Musiala. 

La oficialidad de si salen o no al final determinados jugadores de su todavía club deja abierta la posibilidad de si el 10 cambia o no de dueño.  Es el caso por ejemplo de Jack Grealish en el Manchester City o de Nico Williams en el Athletic de Bilbao. 

Pero ahí no queda todo: en el Arsenal no hay ’10’ desde la 23/24, cuando lo dejó Smith Rowe sin dueño; en el Manchester United lo sigue teniendo Marcus Rashford, con el que Ruben Amorim no cuenta; en el Aston Villa tampoco habría ’10’ ya que estuvo cedido Emiliano Buendía en el Leverkusen; en el Leipzig, la continuidad de Xavi Simons, que porta el ’10’, también se pone en duda… 

En LaLiga

A los ya mencionados Yamal, Mbappé, Julián o Nico Williams, en LaLiga EA Sports se auguran también cambios. Sobre Abde no se sabe con seguridad si continuará en el Betis;  en el Getafe el ’10’ está vacante tras terminar la cesión de Bertug, mismo caso que el del Sevilla, sin dueño tras la salida de Suso; que Asprilla siga con este dorsal en el Girona no se sabe a tenor de las palabras del propio Míchel a comienzos del curso pasado.

De los ascendidos, el Real Oviedo tiene sin dueño al mítico dorsal tras no renovar a Francisco Portillo. Hay ya quien se pregunta si lo adoptará Santi Cazorla, dejando su ‘8’, o si, llegado el caso se consuma el fichaje de James Rodríguez será el colombiano el que lo lleve a la espalda, aquel que dejó vacante en su efímero paso por el Rayo Vallecano.

También hay dudas en Osasuna en este mercado, ya que ven con cierta inquietud qué sucede con el caso de Nico Williams, que cogió el 10 de Muniain en el Athletic el curso pasado. El caso es que el navarro Aimar Oroz, que lleva el 10 rojillo, podría ser la opción vizcaíno si el pequeño de los Williams se va del Athletic.

El efecto dominó 

Hay casos en los que no hay opciones. Apenas si hay dorsales libres y hay que escoger entre lo que hay. Fue el caso de Dean Huijsen, que le preguntaron por qué había escogido el dorsal . “El 24 es el que hay y estoy muy contento de tenerlo“, explicó el nuevo central blanco.

Pero el movimiento de dorsales provoca siempre el consiguiente efecto dominó. Si Mbappé coge el 10, el 9, otro dorsal mítico en el equipo blanco, queda liberado, y este caso es probable que lo adquiera alguno de los otros delanteros, en este caso, Endrick o el mismo Gonzalo, que tan buen papel está fraguando en este Mundial. ¿A quién se lo darías?
