Ex-Bundesliga-Boss Peter Knäbel (58, u.a. HSV und Schalke), der ab dem 1. August das Präsidenten-Amt des schweizerischen Fußballverbandes übernimmt, überrascht mit einem kuriosen Regelvorschlag im Frauenfußball.
Er spricht sich dafür aus, dass die Frauen künftig nicht mehr zweimal 45 Minuten mit einer Unterbrechung spielen, sondern eine andere zeitliche Struktur als bei den Männern einführen!
Knäbel: „Warum nicht dreimal 30 Minuten? Warum traut man sich das nicht? Ich möchte ermutigen, das Anderssein im Vergleich zum Männerfußball zu leben.“

Man müsse „den besonderen Charme des Frauenfußballs“ hervorheben, forderte Knäbel. Spielerinnen hätten in der Vergangenheit versucht, sich „wie die männlichen Profis“ zu benehmen. Dabei sei gerade die Nahbarkeit und Authentizität ein Trumpf.
