Eliminado do Mundial de Clubes, o Flamengo voltou a ser assunto ontem nas redes sociais, após circularem informações de que o clube carioca estaria disposto a vender o centroavante Pedro, algo que a diretoria rubro-negra negou. O jogador vem sendo pouco utilizado por Filipe Luís, como aconteceu no torneio da Fifa. O camisa 9 jogou cerca de 145 minutos, o que da praticamente uma partida e meia.
No programa “Esporte em Debate”, exibido pela Rádio Bandeirantes, o jornalista Alexandre Praetzel falou que o treinador flamenguista estaria querendo um atacante com outras características, que se movimenta mais, não ficando tão fixo na área, como era Gabigol, por exemplo. Então, o comunicador cita outro atacante com passagem pela seleção brasileira como opção.
“Um nome poderia ser o Gabriel Jesus, que é muito mais móvel e eu acho melhor que o Pedro, eu gosto. Eu acho que existe uma implicância com o Gabriel Jesus”, iniciou Praetzel, que viu Cappellanes discordar, relembrando que essa implicância existe porque ele foi muito mal nas Copas do Mundo que disputou, em 2018 e 2022.
Na sequência, Praetzel volta a defender o ex-atacante do Palmeiras, entendendo que as atuações com a Amarelinha são exceções na carreira dele. “Na seleção ele não funcionou, mas olha no Arsenal, no City, tem bons números. O Gabriel Jesus, hoje, é titular em qualquer time no futebol brasileiro. O Alisson é um goleiro espetacular, mas na seleção não foi bem. A gente cansa de ver isso”, disse o comentarista.
Números de Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus teve um ótimo início de carreira no Palmeiras, vencendo o Brasileirão e a Copa do Brasil, entre 2015 e 2016. Depois, foi para o Manchester City e viveu bons momentos, mas nunca conseguiu ser um titular absoluto. Foram 236 partidas pelo clube inglês, marcando 95 gols e dando 45 assistências. Com a chegada de Haaland, optou por se transferir para o Arsenal, onde também começou bem e teve uma queda.
Atualmente nos Gunners, o atacante soma 96 partidas por lá, com 26 gols e 20 assistências. Na última temporada, porém, sofreu com lesões e não consegui ter sequência, perdendo espaço também na seleção brasileira. Foram apenas 27 jogos, mas a maioria entrando no segundo tempo. Acumulou cerca de 1.204 minutos em campo, o que da uma média de 44 por partida.
Flamengo ainda briga por títulos na temporada
Embora o sonho de conquistar o Mundial de Clubes tenha terminado cedo, o Flamengo segue vivo em três competições e com grandes chances de títulos. No Brasileirão, por exemplo, é líder e com um jogo a menos. Na Copa do Brasil e na Libertadores, o time está nas oitavas de final, onde irá enfrentar o Atlético-MG e o Internacional, respectivamente.
