So hoch wie im Fußball sind diese Strafen nicht. Doch wenn die Handball-Vereine Post vom europäischen Verband bekommen, setzt dennoch das große Zittern ein.
Die EHF hat nunmehr weitere Strafen nach Ablauf der Saison im Europacup verhängt. Aufgrund von „Zuschauerproblemen“ wurde zum Beispiel der rumänische Verein HC Dunarea Braila mit einer Geldstrafe von 4.000 Euro belegt.
Handball-Skandal in Europa: Schiedsrichter von Fans mit Wasser überschüttet
Die Frauen des Klubs spielten in der European League und siegten im Viertelfinale gegen Dänen-Klub Ikast (30:29). Problem: das Hinspiel ging mit zwei Toren verloren, sodass die Rumäninnen aus dem Wettbewerb ausschieden. Der Frust entlud sich letztlich an den Schiedsrichtern aus Israel.

Die EHF teilte in ihrem Urteil mit: „Von einem Anhänger des HC Dunarea Braila wurde Wasser über die Schiedsrichter verschüttet. Daher verhängte das Handballgericht gegen Braila die besagte Geldstrafe wegen des unangemessenen Verhaltens seiner Fans.“ Gegen das Urteil kann innerhalb von sieben Tagen Berufung eingelegt werden.
Wie übrigens auch gegen die anderen verhängten Strafen.
Gegen die Nationalverbände Kroatiens und Polens wurden Disziplinarverfahren eingeleitet, da beim Workshop der Männer zur EHF Euro 2026, der im Anschluss an die Auslosung des Endturniers im Mai im dänischen Billund stattfand, kein Vertreter dieser Verbände anwesend war. Die Teilnahme war verpflichtend und das Handballgericht verhängte daraufhin gegen die beiden Verbände jeweils eine Geldstrafe von 1.500 Euro.

Darüber hinaus hatten die Anhänger des HC Izvidac während des Spiels mehrere Gegenstände auf das Spielfeld geworfen.
Das Handballgericht verhängte gegen den HC Izvidac und AEK Athen jeweils eine Geldstrafe von 3.500 Euro. Zusätzlich wurde gegen den HC Izvidac aufgrund des unangemessenen und gefährlichen Verhaltens der Zuschauer eine Geldstrafe von 4.000 Euro verhängt.
