O técnico Fernando Diniz realizou um teste diferente nos treinos recentes do Vasco: Hugo Moura teve instruções como zagueiro, atuando como uma espécie de “quebra-galho” defensivo. A ideia surgiu diante da avaliação interna de que o clube está, neste momento, bem servido no setor defensivo, conforme revelou o jornalista Bruno Murito, do ge.
De acordo com informações apuradas, o clube não pretende buscar reforços para a zaga neste momento. A diretoria cruzmaltina tem como prioridade contratar um atacante de lado com status de titular após o acerto com o volante Thiago Mendes, que tem anúncio oficial para acontecer em breve.
Hoje, Diniz conta com João Victor e Lucas Freitas como titulares na defesa. Lemos e Luiz Gustavo são as primeiras opções no banco de reservas e têm sido acionados com frequência ao longo da temporada. Por isso, a comissão técnica entende que o elenco atual oferece equilíbrio suficiente para lidar com o calendário. Um reforço na zaga só será considerado em caso de lesão grave ou negociação inesperada envolvendo algum defensor.

O uso de Hugo Moura como zagueiro em atividades recentes abre uma possibilidade para Fernando Diniz. O volante já demonstrou versatilidade em outras equipes e pode atuar recuado em momentos de necessidade.
