O Palmeiras chegou a oito novos jogadores contratados nesta temporada após a chegada do paraguaio Ramón Sosa, contratado do Nottingham Forest, da Inglaterra, por 12,5 milhões de euros fixos (R$ 70 milhões), além de mais 1,5 milhão (R$ 8,4 milhões) em bônus por metas alcançadas ao longo do contrato de cinco temporadas, até junho de 2030.
Levantamento do “ge.com” indica que para fechar com todos esses reforços, o Verdão já bateu seu recorde de investimentos e chegou até o momento a R$ 515,3 milhões ao todo. Um aumento de 268% no investimento se comparado ao ano de 2024, quando também oito novos jogadores chegaram, mas os gastos eram bem menos vultosos.
A partir de 2025, com a capacidade financeira para investimentos muito mais estabelecida após as vendas de jovens jogadores formados no clube por verdadeiras fortunas – Estêvão, Luis Guilherme, Endrick, Artur, Kevin e Vitor Reis, entre outros -, o Palmeiras resolveu abrir os cofres e buscar os nomes que Abel Ferreira e sua comissão técnica necessitavam para manter o time competitivo.
Foram contratados nesta temporada Vitor Roque – 25,5 milhões de euros (R$ 154 milhões) -, Paulinho – 18 milhões de euros (R$ 109 milhões) -, Facundo Torres – 12 milhões de dólares (R$ 69 milhões) -, Emiliano Martínez – 7,5 milhões de dólares (R$ 44 milhões) -, Micael – 6 milhões de dólares (R$ 35 milhões) -, Bruno Fuchs – sem custo (troca com Caio Paulista) -, Lucas Evangelista – 4 milhões de euros (R$ 24 milhões) – e Ramón Sosa – que pode chegar a 14 milhões de euros (R$ 78,4 milhões).
Quem ainda pode sair?
Além de Estêvão, a diretoria também analisa a possibilidade de novos jogadores ainda deixarem o elenco alviverde em 2025. O meio-campista Richard Ríos é um dos nomes mais valorizados no mercado europeu e deve receber ofertas em breve. Outros jogadores como o lateral-esquerdo Piquerez e o meia Raphael Veiga também poderão sair em breve caso tenham boas propostas.
Palmeiras quer definir situação de Abel Ferreira
Além da definições de reforços e novas saídas no elenco desta temporada, Leila Pereira e a diretoria alviverde precisam definir a situação do técnico Abel Ferreira. O comandante do time tem contrato somente até dezembro deste ano e o clube já fez proposta de renovação até o fim de 2027, quando acaba também o mandato da presidente.
O treinador português e seu estafe, no entanto, pediram para que as conversas continuassem somente após a participação do Palmeiras na Copa do Mundo de Clubes. Abel pretende avaliar com sua família e sua comissão técnica se vale a pena dar prosseguimento aos quase cinco anos de vínculo já vividos no clube.
Questionado durante o Mundial de Clubes se continuaria no Verdão por mais tempo, Abel respondeu positivamente. “Tudo indica que sim, mas este não é o momento. É o momento para estar completamente focados no Mundial. A Leila falou muito bem, vamos ter tempo de sentar e conversar. O mais importante é desfrutar o que vemos da torcida e levar a energia que contagia os jogadores.”
