Swiatek, an Position 8 gesetzt, ließ ihrer Gegnerin keine Chance. Anisimova, die im Halbfinale die Nummer eins der Welt, Aryna Sabalenka, ausschaltete, fand kein Mittel gegen Swiateks Dominanz.
Bereits nach 25 Minuten war der erste Satz vorbei, ohne einen einzigen Breakball für Anisimova. Die Polin feiert ihren sechsten Grand-Slam-Titel, nachdem sie bereits viermal die French Open und 2022 die US Open gewann.
Mit dem Wimbledon-Sieg hat Swiatek nun auf allen drei Belägen triumphiert – als jüngste Spielerin seit Serena Williams 2003. Über diesen besonderen Erfolg sagte Swiatek vor dem Finale: „Ich dachte nicht, dass ich das schaffen werde. Ich habe mir das nie als Ziel gesetzt.“ Ein Meilenstein für die junge Polin, die die Tenniswelt weiter in Staunen versetzt.
