É oficial: Orkun Kökçü deixa o Benfica e assina pelo Besiktas. Numa primeira fase, o médio, de 24 anos, ruma à Turquia por empréstimo dos encarnados, com o emblema de Istambul a ficar obrigado a exercer uma cláusula de compra no final da próxima temporada. Os turcos pagarão, inicialmente, 25 milhões de euros, ficando ainda outros 5 milhões de euros dependentes do cumprimento de objetivos, o que significa que a transferência pode ascender a um máximo de 30 milhões de euros.
Kökçü, vale lembrar, tinha chegado à Luz no verão de 2023, altura em que as águias pagaram 25 milhões de euros ao Feyenoord pela sua contratação – entretanto, e depois do cumprimento de objetivos, essa quantia já aumentou para os 29,7 milhões de euros. O valor em questão fez do jogador o reforço mais caro da história do Benfica e Liga Portuguesa, num recorde que só foi batido na sexta-feira, quando o FC Porto adquiriu a totalidade do passe de Samu Aghehowa por 32 milhões de euros.
De águia ao peito, Kökçü realizou, ao longo de duas temporadas, 98 encontros oficiais, nos quais apontou 19 golos e realizou 22 assistências, tendo conquistado uma Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, na época de estreia, e uma Taça da Liga, em 2024/25.

Há ainda que salientar que, se Kökçü rumasse em definitivo ao Besiktas no imediato em vez de ir, numa primeira instância, por empréstimo, estaríamos na presença do reforço mais caro da história da liga turca. Isto porque, ao dia de hoje, o jogador que custou mais dinheiro a um clube daquele país foi Youssef En-Nesyri, ponta de lança marroquino que, no último verão, trocou o Sevilha pelo Fenerbahce de José Mourinho por 19,5 milhões de euros, um valor que continua a ser recorde na Turquia.
