Ibrahima Konaté könnte in diesem Sommer vom Premier-League-Klub zu Real Madrid nach Spanien wechseln. Zuletzt hieß es bereits, dass sich die Königlichen seine Dienste für die Saison 2026/27 gesichert haben sollen. Laut „Sky Sport“ sollen Spieler und Klub eine entsprechende Einigung erzielt haben. Brisant: Dann wäre Konaté ablösefrei, weil sein Vertrag nach fünf Jahren ausläuft. Wollen sie ihn jetzt doch zu Geld machen?

Wie die spanische Zeitung „AS“ berichtet, möchte der Premier-League-Klub mindestens 50 Mio. Euro für den französischen Innenverteidiger haben. Sie selbst holten ihn sich 2021 von RB Leipzig, an den Bundesliga-Klub zahlten sie damals 40 Mio. Euro. Für Liverpool machte er seitdem 132 Spiele, dabei erzielte er fünf Tore. Nach seinem Wechsel vor vier Jahren erklärte er: „Ich freue mich wirklich, einem so großen Verein wie Liverpool beizutreten. Das ist ein wirklich aufregender Moment für mich und meine Familie und ich freue mich sehr darauf.“
Und: „Nach diesem Wettbewerb (U21-EM, d.Red.) weiß ich, dass ich zu einem der besten Teams der Welt stoßen werde, und das gibt mir ein großartiges Gefühl. Ich habe viele Jahre sehr hart gearbeitet, um an diesen Punkt zu gelangen.“

Sollte Liverpool Konaté nun verkaufen wollen, wolle er selbst seinen aktuellen Klub darum bitten, mit Real zu verhandeln. Das berichtet das Portal „Cadena SER“. „Defensa Central“ berichtet allerdings, dass Madrid der Ansicht sei, dass 50 Mio. für den Verteidiger „übertrieben“ seien.
Sollte Konaté jetzt kommen, wäre er nicht der einzige Liverpool-Verteidiger, der ab diesem Sommer bei Real spielt. Die Königlichen verpflichteten bereits Trent Alexander-Arnold (26) für zehn Mio. Euro.
