Arch Manning, now the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, found himself at the center of attention during this year’s SEC Media Days-not only for his anticipated debut as QB1, but for his fashion choice.
As Texas prepares for its first season without Quinn Ewers, all eyes are on the 21-year-old to deliver. However, before he even takes a snap this fall, it was his unusual wardrobe that had fans reacting across social media.
Arch Manning unveils his deadly weapon to become an unstoppable force in the National Championship
As the quarterback, nephew of Peyton and Eli, appeared at SEC Media Days in Atlanta, he was dressed in an oversized dinner jacket paired with a light pink shirt and a pink-and-blue tie and quickly drew reactions online, as fans on X.com, formerly Twitter, weighed in.
One user asked bluntly, “Who dressed him?”
Whilst a second said, “Definitely need to discuss that QB1 looks like the perfect blend of a frat president and a budding hedge fund manager.”
And a third commented, “Looks like an Ole’ Miss undergrad starter kit. Is he trolling the Rebs?”
While the ensemble raised eyebrows, it didn’t distract from the rising expectations surrounding Manning as he assumes control of one of college football’s most scrutinized programs.
Arch Manning sends Longhorns locker room NCAA warning
With Quinn Ewers off to the Miami Dolphins following a solid, albeit title-less, run at Texas, the baton has now been passed to Arch ahead of the 2025/25 NCAA campaign, where he is one of the most anticipated debut starters in recent memory.
That’s not just because of his surname and esteemed association with the NFL via his grandfather and his uncles, but also because of the immense talent and pedigree he brings with him.
Manning is already considered a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy, with +700 odds, ahead of competitors such as the LSU Tigers’s Garrett Nussmeier and Clemson Tigers’ Cade Klubnik.
And he’s already away of the responsibility he bears heading into Week 1 as he sends his teammates a warning ahead of a. high-stakes clash against the reigning national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
“Any time you get to open with the champs at their place is going to be a hell of a challenge,” Manning said. “And I think we’re excited for it.
“They’ve got a lot of good players, new defense coordinator, Matt Patricia, which will be interesting.
“So we’re excited. It’s going to be a fun challenge. Glad I get to get a good one first.”
The Longhorns will be tested early, and Manning isn’t hiding from that reality. He’s stepping into the spotlight not just as a quarterback, but as a leader with a clear sense of purpose.
But will he be able to deliver a quarterback masterclass at the Ohio Stadium when the game kicks off on August 30?
