Das philippinische Motorsport-Talent Bianca Bustamante (20) hat in Berlin an den Rookie-Tests für Cupra Kiro teilgenommen – eine große Chance für die junge Fahrerin! Vor dem E-Prix in Berlin hatte das Team bekanntgegeben, dass Bustamante als feste Entwicklungsfahrerin verpflichtet wird.
Bustamante teilt mit ihren 1,7 Millionen Instagram-Fans regelmäßig ihre Erlebnisse von der Rennstrecke. Sie schreibt dort: „Ich kann der Formel E und Kiro Race nicht genug dafür danken, dass sie mir die Möglichkeit gegeben haben, am Berliner Rookie-Test teilzunehmen und das Formel-E-Auto Gen 3 Evo zu fahren.“

Und weiter: „Mein Tempo verbesserte sich mit jeder Sitzung, da ich durch mehrere Phasen von Energie-Push-Runden mehr Vertrauen gewann. Ich verließ die Strecke mit Tränen in den Augen, weil ich meine neuen Reifen nicht optimal nutzen konnte und nicht in der Lage war, alles unter einen Hut zu bringen, obwohl ich wusste, dass unsere Pace so viel Potenzial hatte, aber ich war trotzdem sehr zufrieden mit meiner Leistung an diesem Tag.“
In Berlin wurde am Sonntag der neue Weltmeister Oliver Rowland gekrönt – am Montag ging es dann für 22 Rookies auf die Strecke! Mit dabei war auch der 16-jährige Elia Weiss für Porsche. Seine Mutter Claudia Hürtgen ist ehemalige deutsche Rennfahrerin. Auch Maserati-Tester Arthur Leclerc (24) hat ein prominentes Familienmitglied: Er ist der Bruder von Formel-1-Star Charles Leclerc.

Der Italiener Gabriele Mini war beim Rookie-Test der Schnellste. Der Nissan-Rookie verbesserte sogar den bisherigen Tempelhof-Streckenrekord von Pascal Wehrlein! Zweiter wurde Ayhancan Güven (Porsche), Dritter Kush Maini (Mahindra).
Für Bustamante geht es nun erstmal weiter nach Großbritannien, wo das nächste GB3-Rennen ansteht. Die Formel E gastiert für ihre letzte Station am 26. und 27. Juli in London.
