Der Afrika Cup 2025 – bald geht’s los.
Wie schon 2023 musste auch das Turnier in diesem Jahr verlegt werden. Statt im Sommer finden die Spiele diesmal vom 21. Dezember 2025 bis zum 18. Januar 2026 statt. Damals waren die Wetterbedingungen der Grund für die Verlegung, diesmal die ausgedehnte Klub-WM in den USA. Aber zu welchen Uhrzeiten wird jetzt gespielt?
[–>Das Eröffnungsspiel zwischen Marokko und den Komoren ist für den 21. Dezember angesetzt, Anpfiff wird um 20 Uhr sein. Neben dem Spiel um Platz 3 (17. Januar 2026) und dem Finale (18. Januar 2026) ist es die einzige Partie, die zu dieser Uhrzeit stattfindet. Wie sieht es bei den übrigen Duellen aus?
Die Spiele am ersten und zweiten Spieltag in der Gruppenphase haben vier verschiedene Anstoßzeiten: 13 Uhr, 15.30 Uhr, 18 Uhr und 20.30 Uhr. Am dritten und letzten Spieltag der Vorrunde wird 18 Uhr oder 20.30 Uhr gespielt. Das gilt auch für die Achtel-, Viertel oder Halbfinals.
Afrika Cup: Zeitverschiebung?
Der Afrika Cup 2025 findet in Marokko statt. Beworben hatten sich neben dem nordafrikanischen Land auch Algerien und Benin gemeinsam mit Nigeria, Marokko, Sambia und Südafrika. Südafrika und Algerien zogen aber frühzeitig ihre Bewerbung zurück, Marokko erhielt Ende September 2023 den Zuschlag.
Die Uhrzeiten vor Ort entsprechen im Dezember auch denen bei uns. Zwar gibt es im Sommer eine Zeitverschiebung (in Marokko ist es dann eine Stunde früher), in den Wintermonaten gilt diese allerdings nicht. Heißt: Die Anstoßzeiten vor Ort entsprechen auch genau den Uhrzeiten, die bei uns gelten.
Übrigens: Als Titelverteidiger geht die Elfenbeinküste ins Turnier, Gastgeber Marokko gewann in der Geschichte des Afrika Cups bisher einmal den Fußball-Wettbewerb (1976).

Insgesamt nehmen 2025 24 Nationen am Afrika Cup teil. Die Teilnehmer sind: Marokko, Mali, Sambia, Komoren, Ägypten, Südafrika, Angola, Simbabwe, Nigeria, Tunesien, Uganda, Tansania, Senegal, DR Kongo, Benin, Botswana, Algerien, Burkina Faso, Äquatorialguinea, der Sudan, Elfenbeinküste, Kamerun, Gabun und Mosambik.
