Joan Laporta (63), Präsident des FC Barcelona, hat in einem Interview mit der spanischen Sportzeitung „Mundo Deportivo“ versichert, dass der Liverpool-Angreifer Luis Díaz (28) zu seinem Klub wechseln wollte.

Wollte Díaz davor eigentlich lieber zu Barça? Oder hat er womöglich sogar eine Zeit lang sowohl den Katalanen als auch den Bayern versichert, dass er zu ihnen kommen möchte?
Die Aussagen von Laporta legen das nahe. Wie BILD erfuhr, soll es aber nie zu einem echten Zweikampf um Díaz gekommen sein. Die Kontakte mit Barça sollen nämlich stattgefunden haben, bevor die Bayern ins Werben um den Spieler eingestiegen sind. Als die Münchner ihm dann ihr Angebot und Projekt vorstellten, soll Díaz seine Bereitschaft für einen Wechsel in die Bundesliga signalisiert haben.

Gut aus Bayern-Sicht: Barça ist inzwischen aus dem Rennen um Díaz ausgestiegen, weil der klamme Klub von Trainer Hansi Flick (60) die hohen Ablöse-Forderungen von Liverpool nicht stemmen kann. Zuletzt hatten die Reds sogar ein Angebot über 67 Mio. Euro von Bayern abgelehnt. Mittlerweile hat sich Barça eine viel günstigere Alternative gesichert und England-Star Marcus Rashford (27) von Manchester United auf Leihbasis verpflichtet.
Die Verantwortlichen der Bayern sollen derweil trotz der zuletzt abgelehnten Offerte sehr optimistisch sein, dass die Verpflichtung von Díaz klappt – vielleicht sogar schon in den nächsten sieben bis zehn Tagen.
