Rashford und Flick telefonierten monatelang
Zwischen dem Barça-Coach und dem England-Star lief der Kontakt schon lange. Immer wieder tauschten sich die beiden telefonisch aus. Für den Stürmer war klar: Wenn er Manchester United verlässt, dann für Flick. Der neue Trainer war am Ende der Hauptgrund für seinen Wechsel zu Barça. Wochenlang arbeitete Barça an dem Deal. Sportdirektor Deco und Flick zogen an einem Strang, beide waren überzeugt vom Transfer.
Laut Klubumfeld gibt es keinen Ärger über Rashfords Ankunft – zuvor hatten spanische Medien berichtet, dass sich Lamine Yamal (18) wegen des geplatzten Transfers von Nico Williams hintergangen gefühlt habe – und Robert Lewandowski um seine Position bange.
