Nepejchal je v královské disciplíně vicemistrem Evropy z roku 2019, tehdy ho v Boloni porazil jen krajan Petr Nymburský. V Chateauroux byl v kvalifikaci s nástřelem 594 bodů třetí, o bronz dlouho bojoval i ve finále, ale v rozhodující střelbě vestoje medailovou pozici neudržel. Vyhrál Maďar István Péni v novém evropském rekordu.
Přívratský ve Francii loni skončil čtvrtý na olympijských hrách, na ME má z třípolohové malorážky bronz z roku 2022. V disciplíně, v níž vévodí světovému žebříčku, se však tentokrát ve finále neprosadil. Na šampionátu ho ještě čeká střelba vleže a soutěže na vzdálenost 300 metrů.
Na střelnici v Chateauroux se až do 7. srpna představí 61 českých reprezentantů v kategoriích dospělých i juniorů. Na programu jsou pistolové, puškové a brokové disciplíny i běžící terč.
